Finding the beta on the training field, Ashlyn didn't care about the other werewolves present there. The anger blurred her sanity and rationality.

She grabbed him by his shoulder and slammed her fist into his stomach. Her fangs elongated, and she fiercely stared at his neck, about to bite him and tear it apart.

Just as she was about to do that, he placed his palm on her mouth in order to prevent the action, and as a result, her fangs inserted into his palm.

The metallic taste of blood and its scent flooded her senses. It made her eyes widen for second, and she immediately backed away.

She then glared at him murderously and spat, "I challenge you for the position of Beta."

The tense atmosphere made the werewolves step back, not wanting to be dragged into the feud. While few curious werewolves stayed, wanting to see how the matters would progress, those with no courage hid away.
