Kaelia's POV

When I woke up the next morning, Freddy's arms were wrapped so tight around me, you would think I had plans of running away.

He stirred awake when I turned over and kissed him.

“I have work, honey,” I muttered, unwilling to leave the bed, too. I wanted to spend the whole day in his arms. But after taking a week off, I knew Asher wouldn't let me off work again this month unless it was necessary.

I turned around and reached out for my phone.

A message flashed across the screen. It was from an unknown number.

I shot up quickly. Freddy sat up too, rubbing his eyes.

“What's up, babe?”

Babe?

“Nothing,” I covered my phone screen, “I need to use the restroom.”

I got off the bed and padded my feet into the wide bathroom, sitting on the toilet seat.

I swiped at the message, and my heart stopped.

There were four pictures in total.

The first one was of Freddy dropping me off at Plume. The next was of me going into the building.

The third one was of me leaving the building fully
