TAMI'S EYES shone in excitement as Raphael raced through the town.
It had been years since she was at Grand Bahama, and it was obvious that a lot had changed. Still, she didn’t mind how fast the buildings and features rushed past in a blazing blur as Raphael drove.
It was almost as if he had been in a rush. But in reality, he only did it because he liked how her eyes lit up when he went up a notch with the speed. The car would skid ever so often when the drifted around corners, and instead of screaming as most women would, Tami simply squealed as she held onto her seat for support, as if she was on a ride.
Raphael liked this new look on her, as he had gotten quite sick of her gloomy eyes over the past days. He also knew he was the cause of her grief, hence this c
IT HAS been a whole twenty-four hours since Tami had been in yet another large room alone. She got bored of skipping through channels, and all her meals came directly to her room. So she knew Raphael's intention was to keep her in this suite AGAIN, much like at his house at Grand Bahama. She heard when he came in last night around ten p.m. When she snuck out and tried to get away, thinking he'd be too exhausted to check in on her, she had been mistaken. The door was locked from the inside. FROM THE INSIDE. How did he manage to do that? In addition, all the windows would've been suicide to use as an escape route. They were about twelve stories up. So, she had retreated back to her room and stayed there. As promised, Raphael got her the laptop, but she didn't use it. It rubbed her the wrong way to
'Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!', Raphael scolded himself as he left to pace in the lounge room. Why did he have to look at her breasts? Now she'll think he's perverted for sure and try to run away even more. He was well aware of his feelings for her, but his primitive urges for her weren't awakened until now. For sure she wouldn't look at him the same way again, and he made a mental note to apologize as soon as she emerges from her room. "Ready?" A perky voice snapped him from his self loathing, directing his gaze to Tami as she stood at the door. The tone of her voice was new to his ears. It was almost the same as her excited one yesterday, but different. Was she uncomfortable? She certainly didn't look so. In fact, she looked pretty unfazed as if nothing happened. Well n
BREATHS HITCHING, hearts thumping and pulse racing ten miles per hour. That was how Tami's body felt as she leant into the kiss. Their lips moved slowly and in sync like a perfect song as she slowly relaxed more and more in his arms. The world seemed like it had stopped for Raphael, and he found himself running his hand down her arms to hold her waist, instinctively pulling her closer to him. It was all he imagined and more. He couldn’t believe Tami was actually kissing him. Her lips were perfect. They were soft and sweet and had a lingering taste of her dinner, but the taste of her was indescribable. The way her hand rested on his chest as she slowly returned the kiss was heartwarming, and he could see himself doing this forever and never getting tired of her. On nu
THE FLY home was less tense than Raphael anticipated. In fact, it wasn’t tense at all. They didn’t speak, but Tami didn’t seem uncomfortable, upset or annoyed like he had formerly suspected she would. Instead, she looked almost...excited?Could this be it? Was Tami finally ready to open the door to him and his proposal? He sure hoped so.Still, he didn’t get his hopes up. He knew she was the definition of 'moody'. She would make him believe one thing, then in the split of a second she was a different person. He sometimes wondered if she was the one with a mental health condition rather than him, because she was worse than he ever is.However, the excitement that radiated from her when they were in the air, was nothing compared to when they finally
ONE CAN only take so much, until they completely snap. One can only endure so much crap, before they grow completely frustrated. Raphael indeed was. He was frustrated not with her, but with her antics. Jumping off a f**king cliff? Had she gone mad? Every time he remembered the way she launched herself from the edge, his anger boiled in his blood again. On another end, he felt hurt. Was she really that miserable, that she would try to kill herself? Did he misread her attitude all these days? Was she really such a good actress? His legs shook as he sat on the chair across from her, in her room back at his mansion. They were both still soaked from head to toe, but Raphael didn’t make a move to get rid of his wet clothes. He felt glued to her room as he
He froze. He knew what she had found, but he didn’t want to accept it. Tami wasn’t supposed to see that. At least not yet. Slowly, he tilted his head in her direction, seeing her holding up a bottle of the pills he hadn’t touched in days, between her slim fingers. He gulped, spinning fully to face her and her questioning eyes. "They're uh-" He didn’t know how to put it. Tami saw his reluctance, or uncertainty rather, and took the job of reading them herself. 'Ambilify', it read, and she knew too well from studies what they were. She grabbed another bottle, knowing that it was probably wrong to be snooping
TAMI SIGHED in delight as she recorded her new daily log. For the first time since she started, this one had a positive assonance to it. She stretched her stiff muscles as she let her eyes adjust to the light of the new morning. Hunger called her name, but her heart called for something else. She starched her legs over the bed, immediately sinking them in the fluffy softness of her huge carpet. Since she and Raphael are somewhat on the right track, she decided not to wait until he came to her room today. Instead, she’d go and see him. It was barely seven in the morning, and he usually visits her at eight with breakfast. But Tami couldn’t stay in her slumber any longer as she had always. Every second of the night she'd dream of the almost fairytale-lik
TAMI SEEMED nervous as they both descended the grand stairs that led to the huge living room she recognized from the day they left for Puerto Rico. She hadn’t been around the house since her arrival, so this was both odd and exciting for her. Tami also appreciated how the floors sparkled and shone to the point where she could see herself in it, and the grand chandelier hung marvelously from the very high ceiling.Even though this was the second time seeing the magnificent living room, she was still stuck in awe. She suddenly got excited to get a full tour of the house. It was huge, but that oddly made her want to do it even more."Did you design this yourself?" Tami asked as Raphael slowly led her towards the kitchen area.
