Avery's Point Of View

“Why hasn't she woken up yet?” A strange voice asked harshly, as I began to regain consciousness.

“Please give it some time Sir, she will surely wake up,” another voice responded, the voice laced with fear.

I was fully awake but too scared to open my eyes.

I had lost consciousness and was taken away by one set of people but I didn't know who they were

I didn't know if I was free or in deeper trouble.

“Let's just give her some time,” the voice responded, suddenly becoming distant.

My eyes popped open but I shut them immediately because of the bright light that pierced into them.

Slowly reopening them, I scanned the room I was in.

It was very unfamiliar and unsettling, filling me with fear.

“Ahhh she is awake,” A woman said happily, rushing towards me.

“How are you dear?” The woman asked curiously, her eyes fixed on mine.

I blinked multiple times trying to understand the situation.

I heard the question she asked but my confusion was who she was and w

Avery's Point of View “I shouldn't do this,” I said softly, my hands shaking. I opened the letter, but there was nothing written in it. I looked at it for a long time, almost as if I was lost in a trance. “Run!!!” A voice ordered, sending shivers down my spine. I looked around to see if anyone was there, but found no one. “Run!!! The voice came again, more urgent than before. And for some reason, I was convinced that I should listen, so I did. I ran out of the room the seer had told me to wait in straight to Ashley, praying she was still under the tree. “Wait,” I said desperately, making her halt in her tracks. I was out of breath, my hands shaking as I reached for her. “Let's go together,” I said calmly, my eyes filled with determination. She didn't say another word, just grabbed my hand, shifted to her werewolf form, threw me on her back, and ran. Faster than I have ever seen, almost too fast even for me. “Get down,” she said quietly, as her pace slowed to a halt. I

Avery's Point of View “There is no use fighting this, it's her destiny!” The seer’s words echoed in my mind again. Goosebumps covered my entire body, and I began to shake in genuine fear. I wanted to leave that place, run as fast and as far away from this mess as I could, but my legs didn't move. Instead, I began to analyze everything, my entire life. But most especially the time I spent in this city. I met a sweet and kind girl who helped me get a job and let me stay in her mansion. “Was it all planned? Why was it this way?” I asked myself calmly as I tried to make sense of everything. Now that I thought about it better, I realized that it was too easy. For someone who had struggled through life but was still dealt the worst hands. I had been stupid enough to think that something so good could happen easily. “Even the way the Smiths accepted me was suspicious,” I muttered quietly, forgetting the real danger in front of me. “Why don't you let her choose for her

Amos' Point Of View “Stop!” A familiar voice screamed as they ran after me. “When is this going to end?” I asked in frustration, as I searched for a hiding place. I finally found a corner with basil leaves, something these witches could not see. Running into the corner, I rubbed my body against the bed of basil leaves, hoping to mask my scent with it. “Where did he go?” One of my pursuers demanded angrily, stomping his foot on the ground. I smiled inwardly as I tried to steady my breathing, hoping to regain my composure. I had been on the run for a very long time, and it was becoming very frustrating. “My Avery,” I whispered softly, feeling the ache in my chest. She was scared and in danger, calling for me. But my wolf was too weak to answer; I had lost too much blood. “How did things get this bad?” I whispered angrily, clenching my fists. The plan had been to get Avery out of the pack and out of danger while we clear out the enemies. But who would have known that I was

Avery's Point Of View Her hands were still stretched out to me, waiting for me to take them. I looked around and back at the woman. “Take her hand,” Maya whispered calmly, nudging me gently. I knew what I wanted to do but for some reason I was hesitant. I had looked for the truth about my life and my situation but now it was staring me in the face. “Don't be afraid,” the strange woman whispered quietly, her hand still stretched out to me, as if she read my mind. And suddenly, I didn't know what I wanted anymore. I knew that if I took her hand my entire life would change but there was a pit in my stomach. A strange feeling of discomfort and fear. “Whatever you want to tell me, you can say it here and now, to the hearing of everyone,” I said firmly, raising my voice loud enough for everyone to hear. Gasps and whispers erupted from around us, formerly it was so quiet that a pin drop could be heard. This was my last resort, I didn't want to fall for the same trap again. “No,

Avery's Point Of View “What are you saying?” I asked anxiously, searching his face for a response. He didn't look me in the eyes but didn't react either. “You must be joking,” I said after a while, chuckling loudly. There was no way any of this was true. It was simply impossible, not with how my life had gone so far. “I tell the truth my lady,” the physician finally said, raising his face to meet my gaze. “It's not possible, that can't be the truth,” I responded confidently, trying to calm myself down. “Listen, Sir, now is not the time for jokes, we need to find a way to save Amos,” I said urgently, brushing everything he had just said to the side. “No, my lady, I…” Before the physician could finish his sentence, Jake interjected, sounding very annoyed. “He has protected you since he found you, he is in this mess because of you, the least you can do is help him,” he said firmly, rolling his eyes at me. Those words shocked me to my core. I had never seen Jake act that way

Avery's Point Of View “Amos!!” I screamed again, tears rolling down my face. “We need to leave here quickly,” a familiar voice said urgently, turning the truck around. “Jake?” I asked calmly, finally figuring out whose voice it was. “Yes, it's me, Avery,” he responded swiftly, speeding away from the disaster in front of us. “What…what is going on?” I asked confusedly, my mind filled with too many questions. “I am going to need you to calm down, we will find a solution but you must be calm,” he said firmly, his voice breaking at the end. Betraying his very own words. “How can I be calm? Look at Amos, he is dying,” I said tearily, shaking Amos violently. There was a long stretch of silence but after a while, he spoke “He prepared for this,” Jake said calmly, a hint of pain lingering in his voice. “What do you mean?” I blinked confusedly, grabbing Amos's hand tightly. The more he spoke, the more confused I became and it made me very anxious. “Just wait a while,” Jake final
