Orfilia's pov

My eyes widened in shock as I stood against the wall, dumfounded, hyperventilating, when Alpha Damien claimed that my mother, Jenna, was her mate. How could that be possible? If she was his mate and how did Luna Aria become his mate? And my mother being mated to Beta Jaden? What the hell? What was going on here? Not just Ivory was being delusional, everything appeared hazy and cloudy. The smoke of lies and untold truths made me gasp at my place.

"What are you saying?" I asked Alpha Damien about his statement but his breath was wheezy and I turned to Mom and expected an explanation but there was sadness, guilt and remorse in her eyes.

"Can you please explain to me how and why my mom was your mate?" I yelled at Alpha Damien.

"We were destined mates, like you and Lance! But fate has been altered by spells and lies. Traps were built by Aria for a long time." His eyes were shut and a tear escaped from his eyes.
