Chapter 9. Negligence.

I ran as fast as I could towards Stella’s room. When I got there, the resuscitation team was doing their job to bring her back.

She looks pale, as if she were a rag doll, lifeless. I look at Johnson. He looks back at me, saying, “I will do everything I can to bring her back, Steph.”

My anger takes over and I yell at him, “Get your hands off my sister, Johnson! It’s your fault this is happening! Olivia, check her pupils!”

He opens his eyes wide, looks to his side and tells her I’ll do it, while exclaiming, “damn. She has a dilated, non-reactive pupil!”

“Take her to the operating room, NOW!!”

Suddenly we see how Stella’s vital signs return. She opens her eyes and vomits. Olivia lifts her up, so she doesn’t drown.

A second later, she’s having multiple grand mal seizures on the stretcher.

I cover my head with both hands as I shout, “give her 2 mg of Lorazepam! Olivia, call Dr. Brown to operate on Stella. Let Johnson step aside. I swear I will report your ass to the comm
