“1,2,3,4,5,6.” Aliyah counted the shots before her.
She stared blankly at them, her vision blurred by tears. She desperately wished that everything was a dream. Her inheritance that was taken away from her, Justin's betrayal, she just wished they were untrue but … The memory of him and Valerie together, kissing, making out was seared into her brain like a branding iron. Aliyah wanted to scream, shout out her frustrations and sadness but her body and mind were too weak to carry out that action. Just as Aliyah was about to pick up a shot to start drowning her sorrows, her phone rang. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw Justin's name on the caller ID. She hastily answered, hoping against hope that he had realized his mistake, that he loved her more, that he wanted to apologize and make things right. “Aliyah.” Damn, the way he calls her name, even the butterflies she feels each time let loose in her stomach. “Aliyah.” He called again “Are you there?” “Yes.” Her voice barely above a whisper. She heard him take a deep breath, sensing what he was about to do, her heart sank. “I'm breaking up with you, Aliyah. We are done, this relationship is over.” His words punched her in the gut, her heart shattered, fresh tears flowed down her face, her hands trembled making her drop the phone. Though Aliyah has seen the scene played out in front of her but his words hurt more, it hurts as if a dagger was driven into her heart, Aliyah just couldn't bear it, she slowly picked her phone. Clearing her throat and trying to hide her shaky voice “It's because of her right? Valerie? Six months old relationship right?” “How did you–” He was sure beyond shock, “Aliyah, I-” “Keep your stupid explanation to yourself, you bastard!” Now that she comes to think of this, she can't believe he was trying to explain. She has been nothing but faithful and loyal to him because foolishly she thought he loved her just as he always says. Annoyance filled her, “You son of a bitch, you foolish jerk!” Aliyah yelled tearfully into the phone. “For six whole months you cheated on me with my step sister!” Damn! She was a fool for six months, a stupid fool. “Well, well.” Valerie mocked, “He doesn't want to have anything to do with you.” Aliyah hears a kissing sound, Valerie must have kissed Justin who reacted with a moan. “Aliyah, put yourself in my shoes.” Justin started with a frustrated sigh “I can't be with a person that was a product of dirty affair, an illegitimate child-” “Justin, you said you loved me no matter what.” Aliyah cuts in, reminding him of his promise to her, one of the very sweet promises. “I can't, you might also turn out to be like your mother, you can never tell.” The disdain and disgust that accompanied his words hit Aliyah square in the face. “What?!” He didn't just say that? The pain of betrayal surged through her times and times again, tears wouldn't just stop flowing down Aliyah's cheeks. She heard Valerie's laughter. “Baby,” Valerie called. “Hmmm.” Justin answered lovingly. “Tell her how much better I am,” Valerie paused, again Aliyah could hear the sound of kisses “In your bed, in your life and even in your business.” “Valerie is a legitimate child, her connection to the modeling industry is best for me and my company and most importantly she is good in my bed.” Both their laughter echoed, Aliyah bit her inner cheeks, clenched her fists “I hate you.” “Ofcourse, sister, remember you are a child that should remain behind the shadows, someone so dirty and full of shame, a product of a mistake, a dirty secret, how would the soon to be CEO of Alward's Group stand you being by his side?” Silence descended. Those words hit Aliyah hard, still with the phone pressed to her ears, she placed her head on the counter, she couldn't cry anymore, the miserable and agony she felt were more than her tears could handle. “Move on Aliyah, I have moved on, on with Valerie.” He said with finality in his voice and with that he hung up. And so Aliyah started, downing her sorrow shot after shot while only just staring into space. She drank until she was numb, her heart kept shattering into a million pieces a million times. Aliyah could hardly feel herself, her senses dulled by the alcohol and the anguish. Finally, she grabbed her keys and stumbled towards the elevator, heading to the room she had booked earlier, dragging her drunk self towards it not caring how many times she fell and struggled to stand up. "2...4...7," She slurred, reading out the number on the door with half closed eyes, sleep was already knocking. Inserting the key card to open the door but what she didn't notice was that the door was not locked, she only sighed and staggered in Aliyah made her way to the bed, stripping off her clothes until she was in her underwear. She was slowly drifting off to unconsciousness when she heard faint footsteps, she tried to raise her head to see but she was too tired to. “You're here.” The baritone said, the alluring tone made her peek at who it was and her blurry vision landed on a figure. A very handsome figure, a tall one at that, she dare say more handsome than Justin. This is a sexy god, featured with a strong and chiseled jawline, radiant brown irises stared at her. Her eyes tiredly traveled down his chest and damn, his chest was a work of art, with intricate tattoos that seemed to dance across his skin. “Delicious,” Aliyah whispered as she struggled to stand on her feet, “You look delicious.” A beautiful laughter entertained her ears “You think so?” Amusement coasted his words. “Yupppp.” She smiled faintly, her eyes went further north, though a towel was wrapped around his waist but she could catch the faint imprint down there. He walked towards her, “You are drunk.” He said as he arranged her disheveled hair, his touch gentle and filled with care, brushing the hair behind her ears away from her face, giving him a more clearer view. “Beautiful.” he whispered satisfyingly to her ears, his voice low and husky pulling wetness in a particular part, she lifted her tired eyes to see his hungry gaze fixated on her. That gaze did things to her, the gaze not only told her she was wanted but made her feel it. Wanted. Aliyah’s hands slowly traced his inked torso, his hands relaxed on her waist but as they touched her ornament, her waist chains, he inhaled sharply and muttered “Fuck!” before he started to play with them, his fingers moving seductively along her waist causing goosebumps all over her body, his moving hands were increasing her wetness, the urge for him to enter increased. “You're turning me on, Ocean.” He said slowly to Aliyah's ears, his lips touching her ears, his lips further moved to her neck, he suckled on it, she released a moan. Overwhelmed by the alcohol and the new found passion that surged through her. Aliyah crashed her lips into his, she pulled his towel off, her underwear also found their way to the ground. And in a moment, Aliyah forgot about Justin, about the pain and the heartache. All that filled her head was the beautiful and heavenly pleasure that engulfed her.A knock came. Red looked up from his laptop and answered, “Come in.”And then Juliet stepped in, not in her usual oversized hoodie or sweatpants, but instead in thick denim pants and a loose top.Red stared at her from head to toe, a big smile tugging at his lips. She looked so beautiful, so happy, so healthy … And he loved this.“Damn! You are looking gorgeous, Dove.” He rose to his feet and stood before her.Juliet smiled, pushing some strands of her hair behind her ear. “I went shopping with Aliyah, and so we picked plenty of this and many more.”“This is beautiful, dearie.” He took one of her hands and twirled her around. Her rear was covered by the top she wore, but he was sure those jeans hugged her curves perfectly. His smile widened, relieved that her top hid what belonged only to him…. What was meant for his eyes only.“Uhmm,” Juliet started, clearing her throat, “I figured you might not like it if… uhmm… my… uhm was showing. When I tried on a shorter top, it was showing.”
Daniel Malvern pushed open the door, his gaze landed on Aliyah who was packing her stuff from the office that used to be hers.Aliyah gathered her things with tears brimming and falling down her face …. She finally lost the company her father had left her, she was sure her father would be disappointed.“I am sure our father will roll in his grave, seeing the daughter he so much believed in become this irresponsible and a thief.” He mocked as he walked to the big executive swiveling chair.Aliyah ignored his words, she didn't acknowledge his presence, she continued packing her stuff. But the words echoed in her ears again…. I am sure our father will roll in his grave, seeing the daughter he so much believed in become this irresponsible and a thief. Those words went straight to her heart, piercing her it deep, she clenched her fists as tears rolled down her cheeks all the more.“You should have accepted it from the start that you are not capable of handling the company, it would have sa
Valerie stepped into the hall filled with students, her three new minions following behind. She deliberately made sure her heels made so much noise, calling the attention of everyone.Heads turned and soon phones’ cameras began snapping, she smirked in pride.“Damn! See those shiny heels!”“From her head to her feet screams expensive!”“Ofcourse! That's what you get when you are engaged to Alward Justin and then you are both an actress and a model!”“She is so beautiful!”The comments kept flying around, Valerie flipped her long hair to reveal her beautiful looking earrings and matching necklaces.“Wow! I wish to be Valerie!”“Damn! Those earrings and matching necklace are sooo expensive!” She squared her shoulders in arrogance and matched to the table reserved for her and her minions which was at the front.Valerie stood behind the seat, she nudged one of the minions to clean it up the latter hurriedly obeyed, while another of her minions gently took her clutch so she could sit.Vale
“Why didn't you want me around when you were at the hospital?” Red asked. They had both settled to watch a movie but his mind wasn't on the movie, he wanted to talk with her but he had been thinking on how to start the conversation…. Well he just has to start from somewhere.Juliet looked up from Red's chest, she sat straight and exhaled.“At some point I knew you must have overheard when I told Aliyah and I feel bad for saying that because you have been very helpful and supportive. I am really sorry.”Red nodded with a smile. “It's fine, Dove.” He adjusted himself as he took her hands in his, “I want to hear about it. Please can you tell me about it? Please.” He pleaded, Juliet recoiled, she was about to remove her hands from his but he held on to them firmly.“Dove, I don't know if you know this but I am very concerned about you. I was so worried out of my mind. I tried to ask Aliyah but she won't tell me, she said you might get mad if she told me. I then understood that it might n
Romero's phone ding just right beside him on the table, he shifted his focus from the documents he was reading and took the phone, his brows knitted together as he saw that it was the same unknown number as before. He clicked open the message and it read; You think you are mighty, you are not. It would crumple before you. Just watch. There was another one and it read; You won't know what hit you.His frown deepened all the more… He had been receiving these messages for some time now …. How the hell did this fool get his number? Amongst many things private to him, his phone number was one.He took his phone and read those messages again… just as before he became bothered, normally he wouldn't have been, but now his little wife was in the picture. His phone rang, he wiped the answer icon seeing it was Wilson, his assistant.“Good day sir.” Wilson greeted, “The package is ready sir, do we deliver it now or wait till tomorrow morning?”Romero glanced up at the clock …. 10 : 30 pm. “Now,
One hand punched in the codes, the other hand pressed his phone to his ear.“Wilson, this better be good.” Romero said sternly, not waiting for his assistant to speak. It has been days, there was still no solution to the issues that his Ocean was facing and he wasn't happy with that. There was a beat of silence from the other end. Romero's frown deepened.“It seems you don't like your job anymore, Wilson.” The door dinged and opened.“Sir. I am sorry. I am still working on it. But I’m sure we will hit our heads soon. Very soon sir.” Wilson said, picking his words wisely and carefully.“Fine.” Romero scoffed and ended the call, he then pushed his door wider and stepped in.The billionaire halted, his instincts kicked in … someone had definitely gained entrance to his house…. quickly his hand went to the hidden holster under his tux.His hand gripped the gun, ready to pull out and fire at the intruder but then it came … a very familiar scent danced under his nose and suddenly the light
