“1,2,3,4,5,6.” Aliyah counted the shots before her.
She stared blankly at them, her vision blurred by tears. She desperately wished that everything was a dream. Her inheritance that was taken away from her, Justin's betrayal, she just wished they were untrue but … The memory of him and Valerie together, kissing, making out was seared into her brain like a branding iron. Aliyah wanted to scream, shout out her frustrations and sadness but her body and mind were too weak to carry out that action. Just as Aliyah was about to pick up a shot to start drowning her sorrows, her phone rang. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw Justin's name on the caller ID. She hastily answered, hoping against hope that he had realized his mistake, that he loved her more, that he wanted to apologize and make things right. “Aliyah.” Damn, the way he calls her name, even the butterflies she feels each time let loose in her stomach. “Aliyah.” He called again “Are you there?” “Yes.” Her voice barely above a whisper. She heard him take a deep breath, sensing what he was about to do, her heart sank. “I'm breaking up with you, Aliyah. We are done, this relationship is over.” His words punched her in the gut, her heart shattered, fresh tears flowed down her face, her hands trembled making her drop the phone. Though Aliyah has seen the scene played out in front of her but his words hurt more, it hurts as if a dagger was driven into her heart, Aliyah just couldn't bear it, she slowly picked her phone. Clearing her throat and trying to hide her shaky voice “It's because of her right? Valerie? Six months old relationship right?” “How did you–” He was sure beyond shock, “Aliyah, I-” “Keep your stupid explanation to yourself, you bastard!” Now that she comes to think of this, she can't believe he was trying to explain. She has been nothing but faithful and loyal to him because foolishly she thought he loved her just as he always says. Annoyance filled her, “You son of a bitch, you foolish jerk!” Aliyah yelled tearfully into the phone. “For six whole months you cheated on me with my step sister!” Damn! She was a fool for six months, a stupid fool. “Well, well.” Valerie mocked, “He doesn't want to have anything to do with you.” Aliyah hears a kissing sound, Valerie must have kissed Justin who reacted with a moan. “Aliyah, put yourself in my shoes.” Justin started with a frustrated sigh “I can't be with a person that was a product of dirty affair, an illegitimate child-” “Justin, you said you loved me no matter what.” Aliyah cuts in, reminding him of his promise to her, one of the very sweet promises. “I can't, you might also turn out to be like your mother, you can never tell.” The disdain and disgust that accompanied his words hit Aliyah square in the face. “What?!” He didn't just say that? The pain of betrayal surged through her times and times again, tears wouldn't just stop flowing down Aliyah's cheeks. She heard Valerie's laughter. “Baby,” Valerie called. “Hmmm.” Justin answered lovingly. “Tell her how much better I am,” Valerie paused, again Aliyah could hear the sound of kisses “In your bed, in your life and even in your business.” “Valerie is a legitimate child, her connection to the modeling industry is best for me and my company and most importantly she is good in my bed.” Both their laughter echoed, Aliyah bit her inner cheeks, clenched her fists “I hate you.” “Ofcourse, sister, remember you are a child that should remain behind the shadows, someone so dirty and full of shame, a product of a mistake, a dirty secret, how would the soon to be CEO of Alward's Group stand you being by his side?” Silence descended. Those words hit Aliyah hard, still with the phone pressed to her ears, she placed her head on the counter, she couldn't cry anymore, the miserable and agony she felt were more than her tears could handle. “Move on Aliyah, I have moved on, on with Valerie.” He said with finality in his voice and with that he hung up. And so Aliyah started, downing her sorrow shot after shot while only just staring into space. She drank until she was numb, her heart kept shattering into a million pieces a million times. Aliyah could hardly feel herself, her senses dulled by the alcohol and the anguish. Finally, she grabbed her keys and stumbled towards the elevator, heading to the room she had booked earlier, dragging her drunk self towards it not caring how many times she fell and struggled to stand up. "2...4...7," She slurred, reading out the number on the door with half closed eyes, sleep was already knocking. Inserting the key card to open the door but what she didn't notice was that the door was not locked, she only sighed and staggered in Aliyah made her way to the bed, stripping off her clothes until she was in her underwear. She was slowly drifting off to unconsciousness when she heard faint footsteps, she tried to raise her head to see but she was too tired to. “You're here.” The baritone said, the alluring tone made her peek at who it was and her blurry vision landed on a figure. A very handsome figure, a tall one at that, she dare say more handsome than Justin. This is a sexy god, featured with a strong and chiseled jawline, radiant brown irises stared at her. Her eyes tiredly traveled down his chest and damn, his chest was a work of art, with intricate tattoos that seemed to dance across his skin. “Delicious,” Aliyah whispered as she struggled to stand on her feet, “You look delicious.” A beautiful laughter entertained her ears “You think so?” Amusement coasted his words. “Yupppp.” She smiled faintly, her eyes went further north, though a towel was wrapped around his waist but she could catch the faint imprint down there. He walked towards her, “You are drunk.” He said as he arranged her disheveled hair, his touch gentle and filled with care, brushing the hair behind her ears away from her face, giving him a more clearer view. “Beautiful.” he whispered satisfyingly to her ears, his voice low and husky pulling wetness in a particular part, she lifted her tired eyes to see his hungry gaze fixated on her. That gaze did things to her, the gaze not only told her she was wanted but made her feel it. Wanted. Aliyah’s hands slowly traced his inked torso, his hands relaxed on her waist but as they touched her ornament, her waist chains, he inhaled sharply and muttered “Fuck!” before he started to play with them, his fingers moving seductively along her waist causing goosebumps all over her body, his moving hands were increasing her wetness, the urge for him to enter increased. “You're turning me on, Ocean.” He said slowly to Aliyah's ears, his lips touching her ears, his lips further moved to her neck, he suckled on it, she released a moan. Overwhelmed by the alcohol and the new found passion that surged through her. Aliyah crashed her lips into his, she pulled his towel off, her underwear also found their way to the ground. And in a moment, Aliyah forgot about Justin, about the pain and the heartache. All that filled her head was the beautiful and heavenly pleasure that engulfed her.Just a few seconds that their gazes locked … he saw her happiness as she first saw him, then seeing the lady in his arms, her gaze changed to confusion and later to that of hurt.He couldn't bear it so he looked away.Juliet just give me some time, please Dove…. Red thought.“Red,” Tina called, Red almost snapped at her but he had to keep his emotions, his action in check so as not to give her more reasons to test out her suspicion, “your orders.”Red gave out his orders and after the waiter left, he started a random conversation but his mind was far away, away from the restaurant, away from Tina.He let her talk too but he already tuned her out, his mind recalling days ago….Red's door suddenly opened, he raised up his head from the papers he was busy with, a smile on his face ready to see his girlfriend especially since he missed her so much.“Tina?” Red called in surprise as he stared at a very unhappy and irritated looking Tina but was her sour facial expressions his concern? No!
Juliet kept glancing at the door, her eyes eager and waiting, her fingers tapping on the table, she checked her phone again hoping that there was a reply, but there was none for the past few minutes. And this was unlike him.“Juliet dear.” A deep masculine voice called, Juliet shot up her head instantly but disappoinment broke through her expression as she saw the basketball team captain, Blake. He pulled out the chair opposite her and sat down, he noticed the disappointment written over her face which hurt him.“Wow … you could have just pretend to be happy to see me.” He said as he placed both hands on his chest and tilted his bowed head to a side, feigning being hurt.Juliet smiled, “I am so sorry.”“It's fine.” He replied with equally a smile.Silence descended. Blake stared as Juliet's fingers tapped the table anxiously, he could also see the longing and expectation …. She was expecting someone, it seems this place was their meeting place. And with the way her subtle gestures re
Romero swept his wife off her feet, carrying her in bridal style, he walked with a smile to his table, gently placed her on it.Justin almost let out a scoff … what kind of husband would want his wife to work when he is supposedly on a break…. He thought as from the corner of his eyes, he could see Aliyah picking up a file.“So how is work going?” Romero asked as he stood in front of his wife, he pushed behind her ears some strands of her hair so he could see her beautiful face without hindrance.Aliyah smiled as she stared up at him, “As been good.”Romero leaned, his lips hovering over hers, his hands began roaming up and down her arms, “It's been a while I touched you.” He said quietly, his voice sweet and sensual sending waves of want through her.He reached for her nose and kisses it before going to the corner of her lips and licked it while his hands made it's way to chest, Aliyah sucked in a breath. He undid more buttons until her shirt was completely opened reveling her white
“You are to submit this file to the floor above the CEO’s floor.”That was the instruction she was given and that had made her wonder who would be in the floor above the CEO … it meant that there was someone higher than the CEO.Aliyah suddenly halts, “His mom?” She said to herself, her hands slightly trembled, a nervous feeling pulled at the bottom of her stomach.Georgina Alward, her ex's mother, was ranked as one of the best top ten older female CEOs and Aliyah admires her but that wasn't even the case because this said woman doesn't like her and Aliyah knew it.She could vividly remember what happened on her wedding day, even though Romero had made Georgina apologize, Aliyah knew it was never willingly .Now the billionaire went from being her would-be mother-in-law to being her older sister-in-law.“It's fine Aliyah, it's fine.” Aliyah told herself as she took in deep breaths and exhaled loudly trying really hard to summon her boldness and rid herself of the nerves. She stood bef
Romero tried very hard not to look at his little wife's gentle and focused face , he tried so hard but he miserably failed because since she sat on his lap his eyes had been fixated on only her.Aliyah paused and stared at her husband but he averted his gaze and shut them. Aliyah sighed, she finished the wrapping of the bandage and began arranging the first aid box. When she was done, Romero expected her to stand up from his lap but instead he felt her head on his chest, below his chin and her hands around him.He shifted not because he was uncomfortable but because he wanted her to be balanced properly on his lap.‘You said, she should leave but here you here wanting her pressed against you, such a finished man!’ His inner voice mocked him.Romero sighed deeply.“Darling.” Aliyah called gently as she lifted up her face to stare at Romero but his eyes were shut.Wilson had actually told her what happened when she had insisted to see Romero, at first when Wilson stopped her , her mind
Romero was seated behind his large table, files in hand as he went through them, his door opened and Wilson came in with his assistant, Wilson had requested he did like for a helping hand which he had gotten himself.Romero returned his gaze to the file he was reading, Wilson placed an open file on his table.“Boss, your signature.” Wilson requested. Romero gave a slight nod, took out his pen and was about to sign when a very familiar voice filtered out….“And if I may ask, Mrs. Kingsley, what are you doing in the arms of another man?”Both Romero and Wilson's heads snapped up and they stared at the direction where the voice was coming from, only to see Wilson's assistant trying to click a pause on her phone but the phone dropped from her trembling hands giving it more time to filter out voices.“Oh please.” Romero could never make a mistake of a voice and that voice definitely belonged to his little wife's step sister, Valerie Malvern…. But what the hell was she saying?“You talk a
