Shocked was an understatement to how I felt. I was surprised, perplexed even. I turned back to look at Ethan, to be sure he also heard. He had a confused expression on his face too. I turned back to look at Raymond. My mouth was slightly opened, I couldn't even make out words.

I stared at him, and asked the question that troubled me “what are you talking about? What maid? What do you mean?”
