The sound of hurried footsteps echoed along the sidewalk in front of a towering office building. That afternoon, the sky was heavy with clouds, threatening rain at any moment. A sleek black car stopped in front of the main entrance, its window lowering slowly.

“Deviana!” The deep voice called, filled with longing.
