LUCAS POV

“Allysa.” I called, standing on my feet as she walked closer to the table. My eyes took in her every curve, the luscious lips I've grown to miss, her sparkling orbs and her pretty smile.

“Lucas.” She called and then I remembered I was supposed to meet with an investor so why's she here?

“Are you the investor?” I asked and before she could speak, I continued. “Have you come to check how I'm coping after sending me those pictures? To see the anguish, frustration on my face?” I asked.

She looked shocked but I've mingled with several women to know they can mask their feelings, they can make you think they're so innocent and you'll believe them without a doubt and then they'll make you regret believing them.

I staggered, my vision going in circles but I was determined to get to the bottom of this. I walked over to her and pushed her but she quickly held the table for support.
