Chapter 9

Brooke's pov

It was Friday which meant Jason will be visiting me this weekend. I already talked to my parents and they didn't mind I think they are looking forward to the alone time.

I was on my way to my parent's house and I can't help thinking about Martin. We are actually talking to each other without trying to kill one another and I must admit it does feel nice.

I haven't talked to Daniel for a while now and I somehow think it's because of what he and Katherine are doing behind my back. Katherine was acting strange this morning at the office. She was kind of mean to me but I just shrugged it off.

Martin left early this morning so I didn't see him he texted me telling me had important meetings the whole day. Yes, we exchanged numbers yesterday to communicate and avoid further incidence like the other day.

"Mrs. Taylor we are here," Samuel says as he pulls up the driveway.

"Thank you, Samuel," I smiled as I got out.

The front door opened and Jason came running towards me, "Brookie!"
