"I just asked you a question, James. Did you just say that to me? Did you... Did you just call me a liar?!" I repeated the same question. But the silence he gave me, not saying a word but looking down at his hands in shame made me realize how stupid I was to think that he understands me.

"You know what..." I trailed off, getting up from my seat. "It's a waste of time coming here to have this conversation with you. I think, coming here is pointless. I have to leave now" I said. Without turning back, I made my way out of the restaurant with him trailing behind me.

"Babe... Alice... Alice... Alice, I'm sorry okay? It is not what you think, I promise. I didn't mean it that way. Please, let's just seat and have a peaceful conversation" he beseeches me but I turned into deaf ear.
