Chapter 47

Mia’s Point of View

Mia woke up to the soft sound of Aspen's breathing next to her. She smiled, feeling a sense of comfort and safety, knowing that he was there with her. She turned around to face him, admiring his peaceful expression as he slept soundly.

As she lay there, Mia noticed a flash of blue and red out of the corner of her eye. She turned her head towards the window and saw a beautiful bird perched on the windowsill. It was a blue and red bird, with feathers that shimmered in the morning light.

Mia felt a sense of wonder as she watched the bird, admiring its beauty and grace. She wondered what kind of bird it was and where it had come from. She sat up in bed, careful not to wake Aspen, and leaned closer to the window to get a better look.
