CLARA

The doorbell rang just then and I hurried to the door, pulling it open with a force that almost detached the door from its hinges.

"Oh hey! Freddie! Been waiting for you to show up." I cooed, but Fred's eyes had already diverted to the person standing behind me—Lucas, and when he looked back at me, every single hint of playfulness was gone from his expression.

If this was Lucas, I would be struggling to stand with how much darkness the man harbored in those his eyes. When it came to Fred, however, he just looked funny.

"Fred?"

"Cut the look, boy, before I actually punch you in the fucking eye. You don't even have the decency to look at your date?" Lucas thundered from behind me and finally, finally, Fred glanced at me. I let out a small breath I did not realize I had been holding, and Fred scoffed,

"What is this? A reunion of some sort? Were you going to convince her to leave with you if I wasted more time showing up?"

"Maybe. She is certainly too gorgeous to be kept waiting, a

CLARA My phone rang while I was brushing my teeth, and I almost didn’t answer. Almost. Then I saw the name flashing across the screen and my fingers froze. Fred. I spat out the foam and wiped my mouth clean, the toothbrush clattering into the sink like my nerves were making a break for it. The screen continued to vibrate, begging me to just pick up already. I did. “Hello?” My voice cracked on the first syllable. Real smooth. He was quiet for a second. “Clara.” That was all he said. My name. No “hey,” no “how are you holding up after I humiliated you on national TV,” not even a fake-ass “how have you been.” Just Clara. I stood there, barely breathing. “I didn’t expect you to call,” I said after a moment, pulling the towel tighter around my chest. “Well,” he said, “I finally manned up.” I snorted. “Good for you, I guess.” Silence again. Then, finally, he said it. “The deal’s off.” I knew that already from the news but now he was actually confirming it. There was no need

LUCAS I was sitting in my study, the city skyline glowing through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Late afternoon light hit the leather of my couch just right, making the room feel both cold and alive. Just how I liked it, I guess. I held a glass of bourbon in one hand, swirling the ice around. The TV on mute sat in the corner, broadcasting another loop of the morning’s news. My phone buzzed—Simon was reminding me I had a call in five minutes. Fred Gate’s face filled the screen and I picked up the remote at once, removing the TV from mute. Even through the grainy broadcast, I could see the bruises on his jaw, and it made me smirk. He had admitted to waiting to spite me with her. So I broke a few more bones than I had bargained. He was wearing a plain button-down, looking thinner than usual but still composed. The news anchor’s voice droned, “…we now return to our interview with Fred Gates, who faced heavy criticism this week over the scandal involving Clara Walsh. Fred, some people

CLARALucas ended up fucking me with his fingers and making me come all over his hand twice. He ate me out as well, sucked my nipples until they were raw and so sore."Take them in your mouth, baby… both of them." He ordered and I took my nipples in my mouth, both of them, watching him desperately as I sucked. He sat across the couch, touching himself as he watched me suck my sore nipples, rubbing my cunt simultaneously ."I'm going to eat you out again now, love."I nodded quickly. "Yes, yes I want that."I came a total of six times and ended up choking on his cock afterwards. I warned him severally that someone could walk in on us and he did not listen. Until someone did. Dad.I was just swallowing his cum while he called me a good girl and promised to fuck me like a whore. Dad entered then, interrupting us at once,"What the hell is going on here?"It was the longest two minutes of my life, struggling to put my clothes back on. Lucas had a mischievous smile on his face as he walke

LUCASI had not expected her to open the front door so fast when I came back and rang the doorbell. She was glaring at me as she did, and I fought back a laugh, knowing that if I dared to laugh here, she would have my head. "Are you okay? I'm sorry for whatever wrong I did you and I am more than willing to make it up to you. You haven't taken the ribbon off the car." I moved to the side now and the car showed. The 2024 G-wagon I had just gotten for her on my way here. I had called the vendor and asked him to follow me with the car, from my house. I paid him on the way to Clara's apartment. I knew she was not so moved by money but she hardly said no to blue. And not when it was on her favorite car model. A recent one at that.Clara stared at the car again, and no matter how she tried to hide it, I could literally spot the kids in her eyes. She was impressed.Maybe I could finally get that kiss in. Fuck, I really, really wanted to kiss her. She was wearing a short, tight dress today.

  • Beware Dear Ex, I’m Back For Revenge   62. WHAT’S THAT AT THE BACK?

CLARAME: Don't you dare show up at my house, Lucas! He sent a laughing emoji.LUCAS: Chill, I was joking. I'm at work. But if you want me to come around…ME: I’m not playing with you. You are the cause of everything. Everything wrong that has ever happened to me is linked to you. I curse the day k met you every single day. God, you are infuriating! Telling me you cannot live without me everyday only to go frolick with that dancer! You’re so cheap! Maybe you even had a hand in what happened to Fred, who knows?I tossed the phone onto the bed like it burned my fingers. My heart was pounding, not from fear—but fury. Not just at Lucas, but everything. My mother, Dad, Bianca. Fred. The universe. I was the girl that the world had spat on one too many times. But I was done crying over men who kept disappointing me and showing me I could not trust them when I was at my lowest. Done expecting loyalty from people whose love was laced with selfishness. Done hoping. My phone buzzed again.LUC

  • Beware Dear Ex, I’m Back For Revenge   61. WHO DID THIS?

CLARA"Hello?" I answered with a shaky voice."Miss Walsh?""Yeah?""Good morning. Your boyfriend is stable now. He has also been responding to treatments. You can come and see him anytime today." He delivered the good news. I almost fell to my knees in gratitude. I actually did, at some point."Oh my God, this is great news, doc. Thank you, I will be there soon.""Alright." He said.I was still on the floor when I ended the call. Fred was alive. Bruised and battered actually, but alive. I wiped my tears again and thanked God in a soft whisper. Thanking God especially that my mother had not caught in my that nightmare. Maybe this would have been a different story… or was I just being overly superstitious?I didn't even realize how long I stayed on the cold kitchen tiles until Angela gently touched my shoulder."Miss Clara, are you alright?""Oh, I will be," I whispered, standing up on shaky legs.I couldn't waste more time. I rushed to change into something simple, grabbed the congrat
