Chapter 15 - It can't be that bad

Today I was determined not to think about him. I stayed in the cafe and buried myself in work so I wouldn't have time to think about anything else. I wasn't gonna see Summer today, so the possibilities of running into him were low. Or so I thought.

As I was restocking the bar area a package was delivered to me.

I immediately knew from who it was.

I took the box upstair to my apartment and set in on my coffee table. I think I stared at that box for a good half an hour before finally opening it.

It was a musical snow globe.

Snow globes used to be one of my favorite things I had since I was a child, mom used to get me these for Christmas. This one had inside of it a small wooden house surrounded by trees. The windows were painted to look as if light were coming from inside.

When Domenic and I were together, back in school. We talked about what would be the perfect place to go on a vacation after graduation. He insisted it would have to be small and private, like a cabin in the woods
