Chapter 7 Did She Sell Me?

Eve blinked her eyes in disbelief at what she had just heard, an old friend offering to help. Maira wanted to help her? She could hardly believe it.

In the midst of her confusion about all the problems that were choking her that made her chest hurt, Maira's help was like an oasis in the desert. Her burden seemed to be lifted from her shoulders.
