Matthias POV

Driving into my garage, I closed the door behind me and went to the door on the right-hand side. Shirley was there immediately, taking my suit while my Chefs ushered me to the kitchen area for dinner. Khalid and Galen said their goodbyes to me leaving me with Josie.

There was a different vibe from her because she didn't look pleased when I gave her a forehead kiss. Usually, she would get goosebumps and her eyes would lighten with a sparkle. Her head would be down in shyness and I could continue to kiss her uncontrollably on her forehead.

But, nothing happened.

''Long day with the boys?'' I joked while the Chefs put Shirmp Alfredo on the tables with glasses of champagne and water.

''Yeah, I guess,'' she said in a dull tone.

''Josie, are you--'''

''I'm fine, I just had a long day.''

''Did you?''
