I had to spend a whole week at Friederich's house, no matter how much I wanted to leave and go on with my life as if that stab had never happened.

The problem was that my master's private doctor thought that the wound needed care, although the painkillers were anesthetizing me and keeping me well, not to mention that all rest would be necessary so that the stitches did not open.
