The trap is in the trap.

The bomb was just a distraction for Phelan. What really finished him off was the bullet fired from the muzzle of Nolan's gun.

"There's a sniper."

"It's Nolan Darius. He's in the building over there. Chase him."

"Quickly call an ambulance, Sir Phelan Darius has fallen."

A lot of mixed noise entered Phelan's ears. Everything around is noisy. Phelan felt a sharp pain in his shoulder and his entire body's strength seemed to be drained. This wasn't the first time Phelan was hit by a bullet, but this situation was completely different.

He was completely unprepared for the situation that Nolan would snipe from a distance. So as soon as he heard the gunfire, Phelan's first reaction was not to dodge but to shield Aurora.
