She could tell from the empathetic expression on her mother's face how humiliating it was to be sent back home by her husband on their first day of marriage.

However, Jane was feeling very at ease since they were not actually married.

After touring the house, Jane followed Evelyn upstairs and, despite Evelyn's hesitation to speak, she still chose a guest room to stay in.

Sitting in the VIP room at the airport, the man had a laptop on his lap and a mobile phone in his hand.

His face was devoid of emotion and his voice was monotone as he said, "If she wants to, she can do whatever she pleases."

After ending the call, he continued typing on the keyboard.

Not long after, an announcement for boarding was made.
