CHAPTER 50: Coming Out

"Argh. I want to go outside," Haria after two hours finally complained about waiting for them to call. It's been two hours but they aren't still telling us something. Even Giovanni did not text me.

"Let's wait for another hour," I told her. I won't let her go outside too.

She lay in her bed and took her phone and her headphones and started scrolling down on it. "Fine."

I decided to go outside the room to go to the kitchen and drink something, but after doing so, I walked towards the door. I put my ears on it to hear what's happening outside but I can't hear anything, it seems so quiet. Where are they now? Did the meeting start?

I sighed and was about to take my ears off when I heard footsteps, but unlike earlier, it's not a heavy step. It's like the person was just walking around without an intent to scare someone. The steps suddenly stopped and I don't know what it is doing now. I just waited for it to start moving again, but it did not.
