I just got to the film set. Everyone was so happy and excited. They were talking fast, laughing, and rushing around. It seemed like Ashton’s company giving money to our project made everyone glad.

But for me, I didn’t care. I knew all this was just to make me want him more.

He’s serious, I could tell. He’s not joking about wanting me back. But no! I told myself I wouldn’t accept him. I kept saying that in my head.

Even though deep down... I knew the truth. My heart was going out for him, and I felt it. I was walking out of my car when suddenly, Mr. Riley ran up to me.

“Good morning, Miss Helen! You’re early today,” he said, catching his breath a little.

I looked at him and smiled. “Good morning, Mr. Riley. Yeah, I wanted to get here early. I hate being late.”

He nodded quickly. “That’s good. Your scenes will start soon. The director is waiting.”

I sighed softly. “Oh, okay. Do you have my lines?”

“Hope he is getting better?” I asked softly to the nurse who was coming out from the ward. “Is he okay now?”The nurse looked at me. She seemed tired but gentle. “He is getting better. We are making him stable now,”I felt a little relieved. “That’s good. But... what exactly was wrong with him?”She hesitated for a moment. “There was still poison in his system,” She finally answered. My eyes widened. “Poison? Why? How did that happen?”She looked away for a second. “He was supposed to be on medication. But he left the hospital. No one knows where he went.”My heart beat faster. I felt a strange pain in my chest.“Wait,” I whispered. “He left? Why didn’t anyone stop him?”She looked at her papers. “Sometimes, patients do that. Especially if they don’t want to stay. But it’s very dangerous. Poison in his system... it could have been very bad.”I looked down. I couldn’t believe it.“Was he in the hospital because of food poisoning again?” I asked softly. She nodded. “Yes. It was serious

She leaned back in her chair and crossed her legs, as though we were not in danger. A slow, pleasant grin spread to her features. "That was such an industrious waiter, wasn't he?"My head snapped up, rage and uncertainty mingling in my face. "The waiter? What the fuck did you do?""Not me," She protested, holding her hands up in innocence. "You drank the coffee, Ashton. Next time, don't accept a cup from everyone who offers it to you."I was gasping weirdly as the pain increased. I was perspiring on my face, and my hands shook. "You poisoned me," I managed to say. "Why?"Her eyes softened briefly. "It's not what you think. I didn't have any choice. They are also watching me. If I didn't." she trailed off, her voice shaking. "You don't know how serious this is.""Then tell me!" I said angrily, my voice strained. "Tell me exactly everything, or I swear to." Or what?" She hissed coldly. "You can barely manage to sit. Don't you know how weak you are now?" She leaned in somewhat and whis

I went into the café as if I needed to find someone. I looked under every table and around the room to catch a glimpse of her. Where did she go? As I took out my chair and sat down, I felt sad. It squeaked, and I cursed to myself in a low voice.Dan was sitting next to me and always looked so cool. He smiled softly at me, showing that he was used to this side of me. "Take it easy, Ashton. She'll be here.""What if she doesn't?" I pressed, holding the table. I was holding the table tightly because I was angry. "I don't have time to waste, Dan. Not today."She will come, he stated, his voice firm. He lifted his cup and took a sip, as if we were not sitting in the middle of a storm. "She cares about you too much to abandon you."I relaxed in my chair and ran my hand through my hair. The clinking cups and hushed talks in the coffee shop were too distracting and loud. I wished so hard that I could bang my hand on the table. This isn't a matter of how important it is, I said to myself quiet

Dan propped his elbow on the counter and took a look. “So, we are going to do something different. Don't worry, mistakes. They feel smarter than others. Be cautious of her.”I breathed in deep and stroked my hair back. "Alright, I'll do it your way. But when something does go wrong,“I will have other people present when I am not with you. If something doesn't feel right, you should leave. Do you get this?”I nodded slowly. “Understood.”Dan pulled a chair before me and bent towards me. “Let’s rehearse. Act as if I’m her. How would you start the conversation?”I rolled my eyes. "Really?""Yes, indeed," Dan replied firmly. "You will be prepared."I sat bolt upright and let out a deep sigh, "Alright, I can manage. 'Hi, thanks for seeing me. Appreciate it'."Dan furrowed his eyebrow. “Alright, it’s fine. Don’t be too formal, though. Try again, please.”I breathed slowly in and out. "Hi, thanks for visiting. I did not expect you to show up."Dan nodded. “Better. Now what?”I hesitated. “I
