I turned to see Riley approaching, his glass of wine in hand.

“Sorry, what?” I asked, shaking myself out of my thoughts.

“I said, are you planning to stand there all night?” Riley repeated, smiling. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost. I noticed you haven't really spoken with anyone since the party started.”

I forced a chuckle, trying to play it cool. “Yeah, something like that. I’m just observing everyone. You know how business is.”

Riley took a sip of his wine, his eyes narrowing slightly. “Yeah, sure, I get it. Mind if I ask, you know Helen, don’t you?”

The question caught me off guard. “Why do you ask?”

He then said,. “I saw the way you were looking at her earlier. I just felt maybe you both might have known each other or basically done business together in the past.”

I hesitated, debating whether to say anything. I know Riley was sharp. He’d figure it out eventually, but for now, it’s best I keep him in the dark.

“Yeah, we…we were actually business partners a few years back,” I re

  • Mr Billionaire's Regret: Ex-wife Returns With His Triplets.   Chapter 220: EPILOGUE

Helen's POV The world felt different with Rose gone.I felt better. It was as though some invisible load that had rested upon my chest for six years had lifted.Standing in the doorway at Ashton's home, which seemed like our home, though I had not spoken it aloud, and observing the triplets embrace their father, I understood that the truth weighed in its own manner. That wasn't a dream. It actually happened. My children had their father again. I had the man I loved, hated, lost, and regained. And for the first time in a very long time, I wasn't afraid.***"Come here, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!" Jake yelled as he leapt into his father's arms, flashing his dimples. All the kids felt comfortable calling him Daddy now, and they made sure to take full advantage. Blake embraced him carefully, placing his face on Ashton's chest as if something precious had been lost and now he had found it. While Kate had a crumpled drawing and handed it to Ashton."It's us," She grinned, flashing her whit

Ashton's POV The boardroom was already packed when I arrived.Men and women in sharp suits lined the long glass table, their murmured voices mixing with the whir of cameras being set up at the back. This wasn’t just a quarterly update anymore, word had spread. Shareholders, journalists, even government liaisons had shown up, eager for a spectacle. They were going to get one.I adjusted my cufflinks, my jaw set, every step measured as I walked to the head of the table. The screen behind me flickered with the company’s insignia, soon to become the stage where the truth would finally burn.Rose was already there. She sat two seats down, draped in a pristine white suit that was too crisp, too polished, her armor. She smiled at me, thin and sharp, as though this were any other meeting. But I saw the twitch at the corner of her mouth, the way her fingers dug into the folder she clutched. She knew. Not everything, perhaps. But enough to realize the walls were closing in.“Good morning,” S

Sleep had become a stranger.Nights blurred into mornings in the sterile glare of hospital corridors, my body refusing to leave Helen’s side even when the nurses insisted. I sat by her bed until the first cracks of dawn slipped through the blinds, the steady rhythm of her heart monitoring both my anchor and my torment.Every time her chest rose, shallow but steady, I exhaled. Every time the monitor beeped, my fists unclenched. But the silence between those sounds stretched like torture, my mind replaying everything. Six years of lies, manipulations, unanswered questions.I had thought the truth about the divorce was the worst of it. Thought I could live with the shame of believing she’d left me, of drowning in rage and pride while Rose smiled in the shadows. But now, after the accident, after seeing Helen’s body broken on that hospital bed, I knew one thing for certain: Rose wasn’t finished. And until I tore apart every secret she’d buried, she would keep striking.I wasn’t going t

The call came just as I was reviewing production schedules with Riley, my phone vibrating across the desk in short, frantic bursts.“Mr. Ashton Fletcher?” The voice on the other end said, clipped, professional, the kind that already told you something was very, very wrong. “This is St. Luke’s Medical Center. There’s been… an accident. Helen Riggs was brought in. You should come immediately.”For a second, the world stopped.Everything… the desk, the papers, Riley’s concerned face… blurred. All I could hear was that single word: accident. My hand tightened around the phone until my knuckles turned white. “What happened?” I demanded, my voice raw, shaking. “Is she—”“She’s in critical care. That’s all I can say over the phone. Please come quickly.”The line clicked dead.I stood there, frozen, the words echoing in my skull. Riley’s lips were moving, asking something, but I couldn’t process it. All I could see in my mind was Helen. Helen in danger. Helen hurt.“No,” I whispered, barel

  • Mr Billionaire's Regret: Ex-wife Returns With His Triplets.   Chapter 216: Helen's POV

The hospital lobby was totally still as I walked in through the sliding doors, my folder of photocopied pages clutched in my hand. The smell overwhelmed me, cleaner and somewhat metallic, something that I could never abide by. The nurses grew silent as I walked by, and they looked at me with suspicious judgment. But I didn't mind.I had everything I needed. And here's another hint. Another piece of the puzzle is falling into place for Jack. The doors creaked as they opened, and I was welcomed by the cool afternoon air. It was chilly, overcast, and appeared as though it could rain at any moment. I inhaled, and the cold refreshed me. I had spent weeks looking for answers, unable to sleep at night, and by day, hearing of hidden secrets. My life had become a cycle of paper, people, and relationships that all seemed to point to just one man.Jack.Always Jack.I stepped across the parking lot, the wet pavement glistening from the rain, my boots heavy in the stillness. My car was under
