Reuben smiled and looked at Eli's broken arm. "I see you all the time to be honest. You're very unique. You never cry or look sad. You still manage to be high spirited in such a situation. That's great."

Eli looked at her missing arm and took a deep breath. "If it was the old me, I would have drowned myself in tears. When I was younger and I accidentally got a cut on my finger, I cried for hours.
