9. That Car Ride I couldn't Ignore

As I stood up, ready to leave the restaurant after rejecting Vivian’s invitation to join him for dinner tonight, I knew I was behaving rudely with him. But I couldn’t help.

The atmosphere between us had always been a mix of tension and teasing, and dining with him could have only threatened my sanity. I refused, weighing the implications of accepting his invitation.
