Xavier's POV

Getting out of the office is something else. Trying to distract me from going home with William, they follow me behind asking all sorts of unnecessary questions.

"Sir, are you sure about this?" One of them asks.

"Of course, people want to turn this company into a circus. If you did not steal or misuse your authority you shouldn't worry." I respond not bothering to even look back.

"Don't you think this will anger the board and they will find it disrespectful?" Another one asks.

Are they serious?

"Respect? And why would the board be angry when my actions will ensure that all the funds are used accordingly, shouldn't they raise my salary instead?" I ask, now stopping and turning around.

Enough of this game.
