"There's no one out here yet, you do not have to open the car door for me." I told him with a straight face. He said nothing, just held his car door for me until I gave up on being stubborn and finally entered inside. He entered the passenger seat too, staying beside me.

I looked out of the car now, not caring about the flashes in my face by the paparazzi. They never got tired of taking pictures. I used to be scared of them, and now, I was just used to them.

"What about the driver that brought me here? Can't he take me home too?" I asked, looking back at him.

Surprisingly, he answered, "I fired him. You will not be seeing him around anymore."

My eyes almost bulged out of their sockets. "You what?"

"What I just said. Why do you seem so disturbed by it? Was he someone special to you?" His tone was that of mockery, but I did not focus on that in that moment.
