“Stop,” Kieran repeats, looking at Seth with a flushed face—cheeks redder than a tomato and eyes so glassy they shone. How pretty.

Seth's hands strokes his stomach. “You want me to stop?”

Kieran doesn’t answer, he can’t. His brain is foggy, his skin is burning, his wolf is howling, and he is gripping the sheets so tight his knuckles are white. Shame clings to him like second skin.

Seth moves down to kiss him but Kieran snaps his head away, blocking his lips with a hand. “No,” Kieran says firmly, the words having two meanings; don't stop and don't kiss him. “You don’t get to do that.”

Seth's eyes narrow. He clips Kieran's chin, bringing his face back to look at him and takes his hand over his face. He swiftly leans in but Kieran slams his eyes shut, so tightly that they hurt while his fingers digs into the sheets.

He expects Seth's lips but they don't come. Second passes and he reopens his eyes to find Seth's face inches away from his. Kieran breath hitches. “Why did you stop?”
