Kieran lets out a sigh as he kills the engine of the truck at the front of the Omega’s mansion. His hand grips the steering wheel tightly, his jaw is stiff, his head is pounding, and again, his body feels heavier, even more than usual, and it doesn’t help that he knows eyes are following him everywhere he goes. The whispers are like needles in his skin, but still, he has to perform his duties as an alpha.

He sits still in the car for a moment, staring at the crates of supplies loaded at the back through the window. He can do this. He tells himself and then takes a deep breath. He forces himself out of the car and begins to unload them. His muscles strain, and every small effort makes his chest burn, but he doesn’t stop; he doesn’t want anyone to see his weakness.
