POV: Third-Person.

Damien didn’t waste a second. He grabbed his phone and dialed Marcus, his voice sharp and commanding. "Change of plans. She knows the location. We’re moving. Now."

Lucian sat frozen on the bed, the phone still clutched in his hand. The words on the screen burned into his mind. I know where you sleep. I know who you love. He felt a cold sweat break out across his skin, and his hand instinctively flew to his stomach, cradling the fragile life inside him.

"Damien," Lucian said,

POV: Third-Person"Hello, Lucian," Vanessa said, her voice smooth as poison. "I told you I would be the one to walk out of this with a baby in my arms."Lucian stood frozen, the heavy glass lamp still raised above his head. His heart hammered against his ribs, a wild, frantic rhythm that made his vision swim. Every instinct screamed at him to throw the lamp, to attack, to do something. But his body refused to move. He was paralyzed by the sheer, terrifying reality of her presence."How did you get in here?" Lucian demanded, his voice shaking despite his best efforts to sound strong.Vanessa stepped further into the room, her heels clicking softly on the marble floor. She was so calm, so composed, as if she were attending a garden party rather than standing in the middle of a kidnapping plot. "Senator Vance and I have an understanding. I give him the money and the connections he needs. He gives me access to the people I want. And right now, Lucian, you are the person I want most in the

POV: Third-Person“Then I will have no choice but to name Damien Cross as the mastermind behind the X-17 project. I will have him arrested. And I will make sure he never sees the light of day again.”Damien watched the live feed on Ghost’s cracked laptop screen, his blood boiling and his heart freezing at the exact same time. Vance’s voice echoed in the dingy, dark room, smooth and full of false sympathy. The audio feed was coming from the hidden microphone in the burner phone Lucian had managed to drop in the pocket of his own shirt before he was taken.Damien’s fist slammed into the concrete wall. The skin on his knuckles split, but he didn’t feel the pain. All he felt was the blinding, all-consuming terror of hearing that monster touch Lucian. He had heard Vance’s hand on Lucian’s stomach. He had heard the offer. Twenty-four hours.“I’m going to kill him,” Damien growled, his voice a low, guttural rasp. He ripped the IV from his arm, ignoring the sharp sting and the blood that tric

POV: Third-PersonThe gunshot was deafening, a violent crack that echoed off the basement walls. Lucian squeezed his eyes shut, bracing for the searing pain, the darkness, the end. But the pain never came. Instead, the guard standing over him let out a choked gasp. His eyes rolled back in his head, and he crumpled to the floor, a pool of red spreading beneath his skull.Lucian scrambled backward, his breath tearing from his throat in ragged gasps. He looked up, his vision blurry with sweat and tears. Marcus was standing at the end of the hallway, his gun still smoking, his face pale and strained. He had saved him."Get up!" Marcus shouted, his voice hoarse. "We have to move! Now!"Lucian scrambled to his feet, his legs shaking so badly he could barely stand. He grabbed the edge of the table to steady himself, his eyes darting around the room. Ghost was crouched behind an overturned sofa, her laptop clutched to her chest, her face a mask of terrified determination. Damien was still unc

He's tracking us.""How?" Lucian asked, his voice cracking. "How does he know where we are?"Ghost's fingers flew across her laptop. "I don't know yet. But if he sent this, it means he's close. We need to move. Right now."Marcus appeared at the end of the hallway, his face pale but determined. He was still recovering from his own injuries, but he refused to stay behind. "The transport is ready. We're moving Damien to a secure location in the Underbelly.""He can't be moved," Lucian said, his voice rising with panic. "He just got out of surgery. He's not stable.""He won't survive if the police find him here," Marcus said, his voice gentle but firm. "We have no choice."Lucian pressed his hand to his mouth, trying to hold back the sob that was building in his chest. He felt like he was drowning, the weight of e

POV: Third-Person "Stay with me," Lucian whispered, his voice cracking as he pressed his trembling hands against the bleeding wound on Damien's shoulder. "Please. Don't you dare leave me. Don't you dare."Damien’s eyelids fluttered. His skin was the color of ash, and his breath came in shallow, wet rasps. He tried to smile, but it came out as a painful grimace, blood staining his teeth. "I'm... not going anywhere, little Omega.""Liar," Lucian sobbed, the word tearing out of his throat. Hot tears blurred his vision, splashing onto Damien’s pale face. "You're a liar, Damien Cross. You promised me forever. You can't break your promise."Ghost’s voice echoed from the phone on the floor, tinny and distant. "My team is two minutes out, Lucian. Keep pressure on the wound. Do not let him close his eyes!"Lucian pressed down harder, his hands slick with Damien's blood. He could feel the frantic, fading pulse beneath his palms. The terror was a living thing inside him, clawing at his insides.

POV: Third-PersonThe silence in the safehouse was heavy, thick with the weight of Senator Vance’s name and the terrifying reality of what he wanted. Lucian sat on the edge of the small bed, his hands resting on his stomach, his mind racing. Damien stood by the window, his silhouette sharp against the pale morning light, his body rigid with a cold, simmering rage."We need to find that security guard," Damien said, his voice low and dangerous. "Before Vance realizes we're hunting him."Ghost's voice crackled through the speakerphone on the nightstand. "I've already started pulling the personnel files from the gala. It's a lot of data, but I'm filtering for anyone who was hired last minute. Anyone who doesn't have a prior history with the hotel.""How long?" Lucian asked, his voice hollow."A few hours," Ghost said. "Maybe less. But there's something else. Something you need to see."The laptop on the desk pinged. Damien walked over and opened it. On the screen was a photograph, grainy
