Chapter 3

Black The Origin

Chapter 3: Purpose

Having direct eye contact with his father's familiar green determined eyes. Alkhun evaporating black smoke, slowly coming back from him.

"Violence is not the only Resolve," Kepler said staring at his youngest son, who is currently at 10 years of age.

Then he switched his gaze to his oldest don, Marlo. Marlo Berhalksawn, Daughter of Arzar. A 20 years old child, and the most deserving to the seat.

Powerful honed by the privilege of being in one of the 5 elite families, but everything has changed now.

"Weak." Marlo awkwardly stands up from the ground, it was an embarrassment for a prince to laying on the ground.

Kepler sat on the throne in the dining room, the largest in the middle at the front. Signifies the authority of being

the father of the house.

"Seat down..." The king eating with the whole family was a rare sight. Usually, he would only eat with his current wife and child, which is

Persephone and her daughter, Pamela.

"I don't want something like these to happen again." HE then inmates a terrifying aura. It was something nobody wants, to experience. One of the leaders of the 5 clans was mad. Simply being around the same room

with him can't make you feel uncomfortable.

Alkhun wiped out the spit of Marlo from his cheek.

"Sorry for the interruption, your highness, but it is Alkhun's fault." Hera, the mother of Marlo, uttered.

"Ye-yeah, that's true, Alkhun suddenly..." Marlo speechlessly uttered when his father put his gaze on him.

"That is true." Another of his stepmother.

"I saw it too, your highness." Of course, everyone would blame Alkhun.

"He is the son of the Black Witch, after all."

"We don't even know why he is here."

It started again, and as always, Alkhun couldn't do anything about it. Pamela then suddenly burst out of anger.

"You know that isn't true!" It caught the attention of Kepler, his youngest daughter, Pamela shouted.

"Really Pamela?" Kepler and in a sweet voice. Everyone was shocked. Kepler listens to one of his Children. Then a sudden realization, of course,

he does. He'll listen to the offspring of his wife. Every stepmother in the room was silenced. They want such privilege.

Despite everyone in this room being part of the aristocrat. In the Palace when you are not the wife of the majesty you are a commoner. Most of them are here because they're raising their child for the crown, especially the ones with sons. But not being the wife, despite the privilege they had ever since

they were born. It was frustrating to them. Especially not getting what they want.

"Yes! Father, everyone saw that Marlo was provoking Alkhun," Pamela mentioned, and everyone disagreed with it.

"She's lying." Hera pointed her out.

"A 7-year-old girl lying?" She was shut up. "Hmm, to further abuse. I would like Alkhun, Marlo, and everyone involved to be at my office after breakfast."

It is certainly not a good thing, and everyone would be better off it. After that, Kepler has vanished.

Alkhun stands up from his seat without finishing his meal and walks out of the room. Everyone was silenced because of the sudden events. Pamela followed.

'PAMELA, STOP!' Alkhun said through telepathy without looking back at his younger sister.

"But..' she whispers.

'Not now..' he said again, and completely vanished from the room.

He walks outside the main gate of the palace, where the garden lies. Petals of sakura leaves were falling down from trees.

Surrounded by the sakura trees and a fountain in the middle. Alkhun looks at the water in it and saw the reflection of himself.

Black greyish eyes, with black messy hair and white tan skin, pointed nose. Nothing special really, except. He shoved his hair on the forehead

theirs a noticeable black scar, a Finger big, undefined shape. He doesn't hate it, he sure doesn't. It is the symbol of the Witch Family of the West.

Infamous for their usage of black magic and forbidden spells unknown to the world the Western boundary was limited to other immortals. Living on their own away from the government of the 5 Elite families, why? Why would his mother have a connection with one of the leaders? It was a thought that came across Alkhun's mind.

The water dissipated the vision of him when the coy fish pass from his vision.

It was a coy fish that has been there ever since he was born. He followed the sight of it and saw it eating crumbs of probable bread.

That's when he saw his sister, Artemis, the 5th Daughter of the Berhalksawn family and the daughter of An.

"Artemis.." Alkhun caught her attention and she smiles.

The beauty of one of Artemis was noticeable, her curly silver hair, white skin, and purple eyes. The signature on the An family, known for their

kindness. Yes, Artemis was one of his kindest siblings in the palace.

"Is that allowed?" Alkhun asked out of nowhere.

She laughs." Of course, Animals have to eat too, well don't feed them every day or they'll get fat."

Immortals--animals don't really have to eat, more like doesn't need to eat every day but once a year and they'll live.

Same for us we don't necessarily have to eat every day to live. It is pure luxury in the aristocrat and it gives us way more energy

and mana than others. In other words in this world, eating is not feeding to live but eating to be strong and have the full potential. Water

is necessary thou. This so normal thought makes Alkhun wonder.

Does Mortals or humans doesn't have to eat too? Probably, he thought.

"You seem happy." Alkhun removes his thought and avoided his gaze. He probably made a weird expression.

"I have never seen you like that before." She giggles and walk near his brother and patted his head. Artemis who is 5 years older than him

was taller than him sat at the side of the fountain near Alkhun.

"I heard you got in trouble." Alkhun nodded. "That's so rare of you, what happened?" She asked. Alkhun who as always

can't look straight looked at the ground.

"Marlo." covered his face with the back of his wrist. "Trying to hurt Pamela." It is surely embarrassing for him.

"Aww, isn't cute of you Alkhun hehe!" She patted his head more.

"Stop Sister." She giggled. "It's good!"

"Just do what you want. Hmm, that all that matters." She stopped. "I'm turning 16 and I'm leaving." It was normal for the girls in the Berhalksawn

family to leave the palace. Sometimes someone like Artemis that enjoys here stays, probably because you can have a more privileged education here

in the palace you can't get outside.

"I'm going to be a King Rank Mage." She's now serious. Alkhun was amazed at the expression she was making, looking up at the sky, she looks determined. "...and enter the tower," she whispers but enough for him to hear.

"How about you?" Alkhun was caught off guard at the sudden question. Avoided his gaze.

"I don't know..." He never desires something before, not once...?

"You'll get in there, everyone has a point in our lives where we're searching for a purpose and it can be a long journey."

'ALKHUN AND MARLO AT THE OFFICE..." That echoed their ears through telepathy.

"Seems like father was finding you."
