I hurried back to my room with barely enough time to get ready before Dawson was supposed to be there. I was surprised to see Jacie there when I walked in. “Are you sure you’re ready for this,” Dawson put his arm around my shoulders as we walked down to the party. “Yah, I’m dying to know what Reese discovers.”Dawson nodded and opened the door. The party is in full force. Rock music is blaring and it’s so packed in here we can barely move. I let Dawson take my hand and lead me to the drinks as I scanned the room for Reese. I know he’s here somewhere. We planned it so he would have about an hour with Rowen before I got there. With the lights dimmed and this big of a crowd, it’s hard to recognize anyone. The party started clearing out, but we stayed and waited for the blood for the vampires. I just hope they don’t wake up before it gets here.“Ryker, why were they focused on me and Dawson?”“I was wondering the same thing. There were a ton of people here. If it was normal blood lust, they would have attacked anyone here, but they didn’t. The rest of the week went by quickly. Dawson and I decided not to reject each other yet, but both agreed that we do best as friends. He can be with his girlfriend. I would never stop him from being happy. Reese asked me to stay away from Rowen until after we came back to school. He was able to remove the spell, but he thinks it will take a couple of weeks to fully wear off. He doesn’t know how many times the spell has been placed on him. I trust Reese, even though he wouldn’t tell me much about the spell. All he told me was that it made it so every time Rowen saw me his wolf would take over. After the long chat I had with my dad and a good night’s sleep, I feel a lot better. As I walked into my uncle’s house, Tate the tornado was running full speed ahead.
