Jake

I swing my arm up and drive my elbow into the rogue's jaw, feel the crack of bone under skin. He drops, snarling, but I don’t give him time to get back up. I slam my foot into his ribs, knocking the wind out of him, and I move on before his body even hits the dirt.

There’s unrest everywhere. Howls, gunfire, growls, yelling.

But something about this chaos isn’t as messy as I expect. There’s rhythm to it. Wolves aren’t lunging blindly. Hunters, the ones with Anastasia, aren’t just killing anything with fur. They’re moving... together. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s not just coordination. It’s trust. Real, unspoken trust. Between species that were raised to kill each other.

Only one person could’ve made this happen.

Anastasia.

I turn, blocking another attack from a rogue, slashing my claw across his chest. He falls back, and I scan the trees, the field, the shadows. But she’s not here.

I look again. Nothing.

Where the hell is she?

I grit my teeth and drop low, dodging a bul

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 107

AnastasiaI watch his mouth open, then close, like his brain can’t catch up to his own shock. He finally blinks and manages, “You-” but the words don’t land. They fall flat, like even he doesn’t believe what’s happening."This was all your plan..." he says, voice low, almost like he’s talking to himself. His head shakes slowly as he looks at me like he’s seeing me for the first time. “All this while you were planning all this. Isaac was telling the truth.” His hand runs through his hair, rough and quick, like he's trying to rip the disbelief out of his skull. Then he stops. His eyes snap to mine. “You killed my son?” His voice lifts, caught between anger and confusion. He’s not sure what to feel first.I tilt my head slightly, let my smirk curl slow. “No,” I say, voice calm, cool. “I don’t take credit for someone else’s work.”I lift a finger, waving it lightly. “He pissed off another Luna and got what he deserved.”He stares at me, still trying to connect dots that I’ve already burne

AnastasiaI lead Pete through the trees, staying just a few steps ahead of him. The farther we move from the fight, the quieter it gets.I don’t look at him. I can feel his gaze, heavy with curiosity and ego. He thinks I’m leading him to his victory, to the prize he’s been desperate for. He has no clue I’m walking him straight into his end.We reach the back edge of the pack’s territory.“This area’s too quiet,” he mutters after a beat. “Are you sure...”I cut him off, turning just enough to throw him a look. “Patrols here are rare, I have monitored since the day I was here. And the few who do pass through… well, they’re probably elbows deep in that mess we left behind.”He chuckles under his breath, all cocky like usual. “They’re too dumb to realize what’s really going on. You did well. I gotta say, I didn’t think you’d get this far.”I hum in response, stepping over a patch of roots. “Guess you didn’t know me as well as you thought.”He laughs again, more relaxed now. “This path,”

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 105

AnastasiaMy side aches, but I don’t care. Not now. The cuts across my arms sting, the deeper one on my thigh is still seeping, but I feel none of it. Adrenaline’s rushing too hard, crashing through me like a wave that won’t back down. Some of the smaller wounds have already closed up, skin knitting back together the way it always does.My body heals fast. Not as fast as a wolf’s, but fast enough to keep me moving.Out of the corner of my eye, I catch movement. Not toward us. Away.Three rogues, maybe four, slinking toward the trees. Their eyes dart around, and their pace quickens like they think no one will notice. Cowards. Tails tucked, shoulders hunched. There’s blood smeared all over their fur, some theirs, some ours. They think they can run? After what they did? No.If they get out of here, they’ll talk. Regroup. Grow bold. And they’ll come back.I push off the dirt and bolt, not bothering to warn anyone. No time for that. My feet pound the earth as I charge, each step jarring but

AnastasiaThis is it.This is what I couldn’t figure out before. The missing piece. The thing Pete kept just out of reach. My eyes lock onto one of the rogues. A massive wolf with a thick, dark coat and a long, ugly scar slicing down the side of his neck. I know that scar. It’s the same one I saw when that man came to our camp and spoke with Pete.Anger sparks in my chest, burning through me like wildfire. He planned this. He made it look like a random attack, some surprise ambush, but I know the truth. He wanted to keep us occupied and probably get us killed, while he planned something else.I glance at my hunters. They’re good, tough, loyal. But they’re new. Most of them haven’t fought real wolves before, and rogues? Rogues are a different beast entirely. These ones look wild, scarred up, soaked in bloodlust. Their eyes are glowing red, crazed. They’re not just here to fight. They’re here to kill.“Split in a team of two,” I order, loud enough for my hunters to hear but never looking

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 103

Jake Pete flicks his fingers. Just a small motion, barely even noticeable, but his men catch it like it's a shout. Two of them step forward like they’ve been waiting for that signal this whole time. They don’t speak. Don’t even look at each other. They just grab Isaac’s body, one by the arms, the other by the legs, and start dragging him across the dirt like he’s already forgotten. His head knocks against a root and his arm flops weirdly to the side, but neither of them slows down. His blood paints a path behind him, thick and dark, soaking into the mud. It smells sharp. Metallic. Still warm. Pete doesn’t give it a second glance. Not one. He turns to Anastasia, gives her a short nod. That’s all. No words, no explanation. Just a small jerk of his chin like, “You know what to do.” Then he spins around and walks off to somewhere behind completely out of sight as the hunters make a way for him. Oh, so he is probably part of the third layer of the defence... the one that always stay
