RACHEL'S POV

She was restless as she awaited Max's feedback. She just had this feeling in her gut that Shawn was not going for a meeting.

Just as she was about to call Max, his call came in.

“Turn on your television. Your answer is airing life.” Max said.

“What do you mean, and why is there so much noise where you are?” She asked.

“Yo! Just turn on your television,” Max said before hanging up.

Rachel hurriedly turned on the television and her mouth fell open at what she saw.

“Billionaire Shawn Gold proposes to his high school model girlfriend Tiffany Dion. The billionaire proposed to his girlfriend at the recently opened Italian bar called D'AMOR.

But then, rumors have it that their union is a means to an end. That is...” Rachel turned off the television, cutting the presenter's speech short.

“No!” She screamed, connecting her fists with the wall multiple times. It was only when she noticed blood trickling down her knuckles did she stop and slumped on the floor sobbing.
