Lucia smiled bitterly. Maridelle has realized it: She is taking a big part of the whole scenario, the whole picture. She is the key ingredient.

“It's going to be all my fault!” She broke out in tears. “I should have been dead! I will be causing a lot of damage. As long as I am alive, my blood will be chased to be used for evil!”

“Mari, we can end this, but not that way.” Alpha Lachlan tightly hugged her. He cannot let it happen. She will not sacrifice herself. The wait that took twenty-eight years won't go to waste just because of a threat.

“It will end if I am dead.” Maridelle pushed him away. “Kill me,” she boldly suggested; her words are not filled with doubt, but is shrouded with pure courage. She knelt in front of everyone, begging to grant her wish. She has decided . “That is the best thing to do,” she added to convince them.

“No!” Sebastian ended his silence. He will protest no matter what. “I cannot let that happen.” Her life is his life.
