51 Inside the City (part 1)

Maridelle woke up with arms wrapped around her. She had slowly turned around to see Alpha Lachlan in deep slumber. She neared her fingers on his face. She has let it slide on his cheek. He is so calm in his sleeping state.

The sun has not yet risen. She had decided to remain in her position so that she could watch him sleeping; and the wind getting inside their tent through the small spaces. She felt the biting cold, but in his embrace, there was warmth.

“You should take some sleep,” Alpha Lachlan drowsily said. His eyes are closed, but he can feel her gentle stare at him. “You will need your strength,” he added, cuddling him closer to him.

She breathed on his chest; he loved his scent. Maridelle had let her arm find its way to reciprocate his hug.

“I am not sleepy.” She moved closer to him. Not even a tiny space is left between them. Their bodies are attached.

“But, you should at least try to sleep. You'll benefit from it.” Alpha Lachlan opened his eyes and planted a good morning f
