Chapter 13

"Davian!" Shouted a man who had just come into Dave's office.

Everyone turned their heads towards the open door that was the source of the sound in the room. There were only a few people who dared to call Dave without including the word "Sir".

"It's bad!" said Theo in a panic.

Yes... and one of them was Theo. Dave's best friend and business partner at the hotel.

"What the hell?" replied Dave nonchalantly.

"That girl... I mean Aleta. I found her unconscious on the top floor!" said Theo.

Dave was surprised to hear that. Not just because of the news that Aleta fainted. But the news that Aleta had collapsed on the top floor. A floor where no one was allowed to enter, including the employees. Only selected people were allowed to go to that room.

"Show me where she is!" Dave ordered.

Dave then took a step to follow Theo to where Aleta was. And the man seemed to have forgotten all the reprimands he had given his men.

Only one thing was on his mind at the moment. Hopefully Aleta was okay. Hopefully nothing bad had happened to her. Hopefully he didn't see something he shouldn't have.

Theo took Dave to one of the hotel rooms where Aleta was. Why didn't Theo just take the girl to the hospital? For one thing, maybe instead of taking Aleta to the hospital... quick first aid would have been more useful. Besides, there was a great doctor at the hotel.

Once inside the room, there was another one of Dave's friends who seemed to be checking on Aleta.

"What happened?" Dave asked Alvin.

Yup... there was Alvin too who actually came after being called by Theo. Alvin stood up and took Dave to another corner of the place. His face looked so serious. Like there was something so important.

"What is this, why do you want to talk in a corner of the room like this. Aaah, what about Aleta's condition. Actually, what happened? How come Aleta was found there?" Dave asked curiously.

"You have many questions. But there's nothing I can answer," said Alvin.

"What do you mean?" asked Dave again.

"Well... it wasn't me who found Aleta. Theo found her and brought her here. I don't know what caused the girl to faint. But you don't have to worry because the girl is fine," Alvin explained at length.

Dave took a deep breath. He felt a little relieved now.

"It's just that..." Alvin seemed to want to speak. But he seemed to hesitate.

"What's wrong, Alvin? Is there a problem with Aleta?" Dave asked again.

"Yeah well, this time there really is something serious. Actually... since the beginning I've felt suspicious about Aleta's presence. Although I didn't understand Aleta's sweet scent that you said. As it turns out, my initial suspicion was correct."

"What conjecture? Don't beat around the bush. Just say it clearly," Dave ordered irritably.

"Witches," Alvin said, which suddenly made Dave frown.

"Witch?" repeated Dave.

"Yes, you know Witches don't you? Someone who has the bloodline or blood of a witch usually does have a sweet and alluring body scent. The scent will become more alluring as they get older, and even sweeter when there is a stimulus or trigger," Alvin explained later.

"I don't believe this. So that's why Aleta has a body scent that almost drives me crazy?" guessed Dave.

"Yeah... you could say that," Alvin replied casually.

"But ... why am I the only one who can smell her sweet scent?" Dave asked again.

"Actually, you're not the only one who can smell Aleta's sweet scent. There are two types of people who can smell Aleta's alluring body. A werewolf with noble bloodline, someone who is destined to be with her, and someone who has aroused her. There seems to be another type, but I forgot." Alvin explained at length.

"And among those three types of people, which one is compatible with me?" Dave asked again.

"I don't know... you have royal blood and you also have the looks that have the potential to excite her. Aaahh never mind. The point is... I shouldn't have said it in the first place! Keeping that girl by your side is a bad idea," Alvin said.

"No! It would be even worse if she wasn't under my protection. What if she lures another dangerous werewolf? It would be better if she stays with me. I'll protect her."

"Fine, that's up to you. But I'm sure, not only have you smelled that sweet Aleta's scent!" Alvin folded his arms in front of his chest.

"What about you? Do you smell it too?" asked Dave.

"Me?" Alvin pointed at himself. Dave nodded his head several times.

"No, I don't smell anything. I just know that girl is a little special," said Alvin with a pounding heart and slightly clenched hands.

"No! Get rid of it, I hate it. I can't stand it, I'm not strong. Please... someone help me. Blood... That blood... BLOOD!" Aleta shouted suddenly.

The girl woke up sitting on the bed with the blanket partially covering her body. Her body was drenched in sweat and her face was turning red. The girl's eyes looked blank and her hands were trembling.

"Aleta, are you awake?"

A man's soft voice suddenly rang in her ears.

"Hey, you look bad. What happened huh?" And the voice came from Dave. He walked over to Aleta and sat down next to her.

Aleta looked uneasy, it seemed like there was something the girl saw while at the hotel.

And Dave hoped that what Aleta saw, was not something that was in her mind.

"Dave... please. Help me... I saw something. I saw blood. A lot of blood, and I..."

"Calm down, calm down," Dave interrupted as he hugged Aleta, the man rubbing her back gently.

"Calm down, it's okay. Everything will be fine," Dave whispered in the girl's ear.

Slowly Aleta's anxiety began to disappear. Her breathing, which had been labored, now began to return to normal. Her hands were no longer shaking, and all thanks to Dave's whispers.

Aleta's sweet scent returned, just as Dave was hugging her. Unfortunately, this was not a good opportunity. Aleta needed to be calmed down and Dave needed to control himself.

Dave would love to nibble on Aleta's little ears or suckle the girl's smooth white neck right now. But no! For Dave this was all an illusion. All this was only because he was descended from royal blood. Yes... Dave convinced himself that that was the reason he was so tempted by this girl.

"Damn, I can't cross the line. Calm down Davian, calm down. Don't take advantage of an opportunity in a tight spot."
