I licked her blood off my finger, not wasting a drop. “Get her out of here.” the mutt said. He turned back to me glaring, I just smiled evilly back.
“No matter where you hide her I will find her. She is mine mutt, and now that I have tasted her blood, you wont be able to stop me.” I hissed at him. I flash to her in an instant, just a floor above the cell I was in. Her eyes go wide with surprise as I appear in the room. I grin devilishly and stalk toward her. The panic in her eye is delicious. As I get closer to her I hit an invisible wall. She has already been taught to put up a barrier. Damn you, Selene! "This barrier won't hold for long." I hiss pushing against the barrier, I grin when I hear creaks forming. A little harder and I can get through. I hear the mutt running up the stairs.

Sam POVDuring dinner, my father-in-law and I discussed pack-related issues and Aimee just chatted with her mom and her brother. I don't know why, occasionally she would hide herself making me touch her leg to make sure she wasn't too far away. At some point, I got caught up talking that I didn't notice she had gotten up until I saw her at the top of the stairs. Not saying a word, I stand up and quickly go to the kitchen to rinse my bowl. I quicken my pace as I get to the stairs. Her scent dances in the air when I open the bedroom door. I hear the shower going, so I head to the bathroom while stripping my clothes. Sam POV Just before I could begin to pleasure my mate, a mind-link came through from my beta. Sam POVIt didn't take long for Aimee to fall asleep. She was exhausted by the time she made it to bed. I had asked her if she wanted me to stay up with her but she said I had things to do in the morning and need my rest. She was right but it was so lonely in bed alone. Aimee POVIt only took a month to get the orphanage and necessities for the pups ready. Sam had contacted every pack in North America and told them that we had built an orphanage to ease the strain orphaned pups can cause in a pack. Alester POVIt’s been nearly a month since I tasted her blood. The taste never left my mind. It was sweeter than the last Blue Moon wolf I had.
