Chapter 2 Blindfolded

She was sitting on the other side of the room but her eyes are blindfolded. She didn't know why but all she could think of was what her parents were discussing with the unknown man. She can hear three voices in the room. Her parents and that of the man she didn't know. 

They seem to be in an agreement decision. But why is her eyes begin blindfolded? She thought to herself.

Before they arrive at the ancient mansion which she admired her way in before her eyes were tied by her father. He told her no matter what she shouldn't take off the blindfold, that leaves her more curious. Because she clearly remembers that her father told her they're coming to visit a friend. But here she was blindfolded not seeing the inside of the fascinating mansion. All she could hear was her father and mother's voice pleading with the unknown man.

When her eyes were blindfolded by her father before they enter, her mother told her not to say a word because her Dad friend wouldn't tolerate that. She was more terrified by the parent unusual behavior which she couldn't comprehend. 

All she heard was her father pleading but why? 

"Mr. Alexander Hamilton, please give us more time. I promise to pay off this deal"  her father voice. She had heard of that name before but where? And why is her father pleading to the man, didn't he say they came here to pay a visit to a friend? Why the immediate pleading for nothing. She wandered. 

"I given you and your family enough time and chances, but it seems you taking me for a fool and you still have the guts to come here again and tell me this same trash?" The man's voice was ice and cold as he yells to her parents. Her heart went skipping. Her father and mother didn't tell her anything about this or what they came here for but there is something she wouldn't do. Sitting down there when someone poured insults at her parents in front of her. 

"Excuse me. Mr. Unknown man don't you dare shout at my parents like that! In whatsoever you're discussing with them. If they say they're going to pay then they are!" The girl yelled bravely. Her parents were more frightened than ever as they bit on their lips looking at their stubborn daughter they told her not to let out a word.  And back to the unknown man which loves the way the little girl challenges him. A wicked smile curled on his lips looking lustfully at her.

"Interesting daughter you get there" he commented, whose eyes aren't looking at the parents but the girl's blindfold on a chair, duty neat like a classic woman. 

"Is this the one you bought to pay off your bills? Not bad at all" he lick his lips "she will keep me company for the main time" he laughs sarcastically

Her eyes widened to the man's words. What is he saying? Did her parents bought her there to use her as a settlement of bills? She thought to herself. 

"Please Sir, we just want her to stay in your place within the one week time you gave to us. By then, I promise I must have made up to your money in full" the man said courageous and his wife nodded along with his words. 

"Hmm, let me see" the unknown man replied, reclining his head back on the chair as his eyes moved from the parents to the quiet girl who was still thinking what's going on. 

His finger touched his lips lovely and back to the parents before releasing the deal.

"Now, let's make it the easy way. What if I take your daughter as the complete bill. I would never shut down your company in that way you and your family wouldn't end  up in the street. What about that?" 

Both parents looked at themselves confusedly. What's this man trying to do. The girl at the other side of the room couldn't believe her ears. Was that the reason she was bought here in the first place? Were her parents going to sell her out to save their company? She knows for some days now that the company was not doing well and her father always seemed worried. He couldn't eat or do anything. Her mother on the other hand was not helping matter! She also seems moody too. No one tells her what the issues are. even though she tried to find out. This was terrible and confusing! She tried to catch her breath in where she seated delicately. 

Her parents were short of words, as they thinks about what they're going to do. Give up their only child to a strange and brutal man or lose their only surviving hope to him. Is a decision that had to be made as both parents battle their thoughts on it. 

The unknown man seat majestically enjoying the display faces in front of him. That of the parents and also the girl who sees quiet over the words he just said. He was expecting her to burst out her running mouth to challenge him the more but the more she tried to challenge him, The more he prepared more to attack her parents. He smirks deviously like the demon himself. This game is fun to play. At least, someone to keep him busy for the main time. 

"So what's your decision? Mr. and Mrs. Jones?" The man asked breaking the silence in the room.
