Brandon battled with guilt almost every minute. He felt trapped. He had built such a strong foundation around his word. That was why Steven knew what to do to get him to do it, knowing whatever Brandon said, he backed up with his actions. He could tell her and Steven would be none the wiser about it, but... Honestly, he was scared. Beth was a very careful person. As happy as they were around each other, he knew he would be dumb to think he knew half of her.
