Alexi’s POV

I was not a morning person. I hated the overly romanticized idea of waking up to the bright rays of sun as they fall on your closed eye lids.

Do you know how uncomfortable that is?

So, you can imagine how most of my morning would go. I will be cranky most of the time and surviving only on coffee.

I was most definitely a night owl but the nature of my business demands at least a quarter of my night life and to have an elaborate dinner is like a distant dream for me.

The only time I get to relax and have food is in the noon.

That day I was devouring the club sandwich that my chef Paul made, specially customized to my liking. Normally I didn’t care for the taste of food, but that day I was particularly impressed by the preparation. Maybe I should give him a raise.

Biting into one of the pieces, I filled my mind with the good things that were happening in my life. I had a successful empire, and every day I thrive to keep alive my father’s legacy. The sum of my achievem
