Find Your Mate

Ethan's POV.

“You have to find your mate,” he bellowed, hitting the clutch of his throne.

A frown creased on my forehead, I could no longer watch him shouting at me. I walked out of his chambers and went back to mine.

Am I cursed? Where is my mate? Where is she? After searching the entire palace of the Uranus Kingdom, she was nowhere to be found, and my father, the great Alpha, was afraid that he would soon join his ancestors.

“He wanted to see the future Luna and die peacefully and as the current Beta (Alpha) next to the throne after my father. I must find my mate real quick.”

I went to the window in my room, taking deep breaths. As night took over the day, I could see the moonlight shining in the sky from afar.

I wanted to view it so badly, but it was a dangerous place to go to. A group of rogues live there, and they get angry at whoever trespasses.

“I will be there one day,” I said, letting out a sigh of relief.

***************

It was morning already, and the sun had risen, shining into my room.

I woke up from my bed, yawning, stretching my arms, and putting my hand around my neck.

I was lost in thought when Fredrick, my childhood friend, barged into my room. He was the gamma of the Uranus kingdom. He was so mighty just like me.

“Hello,” he snapped his fingers, making me come out of a trance.

“Ohh! Fredrick,” I said as we both shook hands in a unique style. It was our normal routine shake since childhood.

“Any good news today?” I asked hopefully.

“Yeah, but it's not good news. Just a solution to your problem,” he stated, raising his eyebrows.

“Okay, tell me about it then, If it is about my mate,” I said with anxiety written all over my face.

“Alright, calm down. I found a sorcerer who we are going to meet, And he will help us locate your mate,” he was looking nervous as he said, brooding maybe if I would agree to his idea.

“Of course, I would love to go to be saved from all this embarrassment from the werewolves of the pack,” I said, nodding in agreement, “give me a high five bro.”

I just love Fredrick, my childhood friend. He was always there for me no matter what circumstances he might face in helping me.

“Get dressed, man,” he hit me on my shoulder.

“That's it. Just get out till I'm done,” I said teasingly, pushing him out as I dragged the door, locking it.

He was the one who would not allow me to receive special treatment from my servants who dressed me up.

I can't let him, his behavior sometimes gets me angry.

I went to my closet and picked up a red top and jean. I was not going to dress casually today. I sighted myself in the mirror, and I could not believe a handsome Beta, with a beautiful forest eye and red curly hair. Even in my wolf form, I still look handsome because of my red color.

“But the handsome man is still looking for his mate,” I whispered to myself. Disappointed, I looked away from the mirror and went back straight to unlock the door.

As Fredrick came in, I stopped him with my hand, “Don't bother coming in, let's move.” I said intentionally getting on his nerves, but he seemed not to get my time.

“Shall we, future Alpha?” he said with a bow as he led the way out.

We got into the carrier, and I entered with Fredrick.

“I hope it is not far from the palace?” I questioned him, and he did not respond. Instead, he was staring into my eyes, blushing.

I looked at him irritatedly with my eyes rolled up, flaring at him, “Ewww… stop it. You aren't gay.”

“Ohh, come on, man,” he disengaged with his weird look on me, rubbing my red hair.

“You are so handsome to not find your mate,” Fredrick made a mocking face in front of me, feigning disappointment, and I just snubbed him because he was never serious.

The carrier stopped, “We have arrived, Your Highness,” the rider said from outside.

I stared at Frederick.

“Let’s go,” he said, bending his head to get out of the carrier, and I also did the same.

We entered, unlocking the door. The atmosphere in the room looked solemn as different types of monster creatures and demonic paintings were around the entire room.

I flared my eyes at Fredrick, hitting my chest to gasp for air. The scent of the room was like that of a corpse.

An old man with a long mustache and beard long enough to reach his leg and his bald eyes appeared, holding a stick.

“You endure to get what you want,” he said to me due to the reaction I was getting in the room.

“Sit down,” he ordered as we walked over to the flat pillow on the floor. We sat down facing the man. I could barely see his eyeballs as it was covered with his long eyebrow.

“What issue does the great beta of the Uranus kingdom seem to have?” he asked. I looked into Fredrick's eye, and he nodded, giving me a sign to explain my issue.

“I can't find my mate no matter how hard I search the entire kingdom. She is nowhere to be found. Can you help me in locating her?” I asked him curiously.

“Keep your curious mind at rest for she will find her way over to you,” he assured me

“I don't need a word of assurance, I need to find her,” I shouted back at the man with my facial expression about to explode.

“Your mate shall come to you soon, but you should not be surprised by what you see,” he said, rubbing his hands together, and a flame of fire began to appear. Then ashes appeared on his hand, and he blew it into my ears. I was furious at what he was blowing into my ears.

“Calm down, Ethan,” Fredrick glared at me. I was about to laugh out loud because of his ridiculous facial expression, but the man interrupted us.

“This will call you when she is near you,” he said, and I graciously thanked him as we both stood up to leave.
