Declan’s POV

I sank into the chair in my study, the rich aroma of wine swirling around me like a comforting embrace.

Deep in thought, I picked up a glass of wine and emptied it in a single gulp.

I had a lot on my mind, the most occurring one sharing a link with Kendall. Her actions got to me.

I couldn’t shake the disbelief that weighed heavy on my heart. Kendall’s actions had left me reeling, questioning everything I thought I knew.

How could she betray me like this? After all the time we’d spent together, shared moments, and exchanged secrets, I believed we were building something solid.

I thought there was something, I thought we were finally building something but I guess she was lying all along.

I knew what I did was rational and selfish and I shouldn’t have locked her up that fast but at the same time she should try to see where I was coming from.

I was just trying to be sure, I was eventually going to come back to my senses after calming down and apologize to her but
