“What did you do, Carden? I’ve been asking you many times about the people rallying even before we turned out like this but you told me it was all fine,” Disappointment, vexation, and pain lingered in the woman’s voice as he eyed the man who was still standing in the veranda.

A large gap stood between them, and a minute after that eerie silence, the man rushed back to the dark room, closed the sliding door, and pushed the curtain, as though he was avoiding something.

“Oh no, no, no…why are they here?” the man whispered to himself as he went towards the bed, his eyes kept on wandering towards the bed like he was searching for something.

“I need help, I need someone who could help,” he nervously went to the bedside table when he saw that his phone was there but the moment he turned it on, notifications boomed it that he got no choice but also throw it back to the bed without checking it.
