Botanist Danny Williams died on Earth, only to wake up as Danny Rodriguez: the despised Omega married to Chadwick, the terrifying Alpha General of the North. The original Danny was a monster. He abused his twin children, betrayed his pack, and poisoned the very Alpha who once loved him. Now, the consequences have arrived with guns blazing. With two traumatized kids clinging to him, a dying Alpha husband who’d rather shoot him than trust him, and a soil apocalypse turning the world to ash, Danny has only one choice: survive. Armed with a snarky Eden System, agricultural expertise, and world-class cooking skills, Danny sets out to heal barren dirt, feed a starving shelter, and win back his family. But between flesh eating mutants, an arrogant rival trying to take his place, and severe straight-guy panic whenever his drop-dead gorgeous husband gets too close... redemption won't be easy. Can a traitorous Omega heal a dying world and win back the heart of the deadliest Alpha in the North along side his people?

Misplaced In Stars

Danny's POV

"AHHH! AHHHH!"

I woke up screaming, my arms thrashing wildly against the air as my chest heaved for breath.

My hands instinctively flew to my throat, clawing at my skin, still feeling the phantom, agonizing crush of fingers cutting off my airway.

The last thing I remembered... Connor was on top of me. My degenerate, gambling addict of a brother was strangling me to death right on my living room floor because I refused to sign a loan form to pay off his massive debts.

I died. I know I did.

So why the hell was I staring at a glittering crystal chandelier?

I sat up abruptly, rubbing my throbbing head, and looked around. I wasn't on my dusty apartment floor. I was in a massive, exquisitely decorated bedroom, sitting on top of a soft, luxurious king-sized bed.

How am I here? I thought, my mind racing. Did I faint? Did Connor freak out and dump me in some luxurious hotel?

Before I could process the weirdness of it all, the double doors of the bedroom swung open with a violent slam.

A burly, intimidating man clad in tactical gear stepped inside, holding a heavy handgun.

In his other hand, he was carelessly dragging two tiny children, gripping them like sacks of dirty laundry.

Without a shred of pity, the man shoved the terrified, malnourished kids onto the hardwood floor. They hit the ground with a soft, painful thud.

I froze, staring at them in utter shock.

"Daddy, please help us..." the little girl cried out, her eyes wide with tearful desperation as she looked up at me.

Adrenaline kicked in. My body moved before my brain could even register what was happening. I scrambled off the bed, swallowing hard, and stepped directly in front of the two trembling children to shield them.

"Who the hell are you?" I demanded, glaring at the armed man.

The guy didn't bother answering. He just scoffed, reaching into his vest to pull out a folded piece of paper, shoving it aggressively into my chest.

"Boss said you should sign this..." the man growled, his voice like grinding stones. "And pay your last respects to your kids."

My brows furrowed in pure confusion. "Kids? What the fuck are you talking about, big guy? I’m so damn confused... I’m not even married."

I snatched the paper and looked down at the bold, dark print:

[TRANSFER OF ADOPTION TO ALPHA DEREK DAVIDSON]

[CHILDREN NAMES: NOAH RODRIGUEZ & LYRA RODRIGUEZ]

I stared at the document, then turned my head to look back at the kids cowering behind my legs.

Why... why did all of this feel so ridiculously familiar? It felt like I had seen this exact scenario somewhere before.

I shook my head, trying to snap out of whatever fever dream this was. I shoved the paper right back against the guy's chest. "Look, these aren't my kids, man. I don't know how I ended up here, but you've got the wrong guy...."

"Just sign!" the man yelled, stepping forward.

I flinched back at his sudden shout.

"Why is Daddy pretending not to know us?" the little girl’s trembling voice echoed behind me.

"Because I'm not your daddy!" I snapped back instinctively.

I raised both hands in a defensive surrender, backing up slightly. "Look, let's just calm down for a second... "

Suddenly, the entire world froze.

I blinked. The moon light streaming through the window stopped shifting. A fruit fly that had been buzzing past my face hung completely motionless mid-air.

The armed man's angry snarl was locked in time, his breath caught in his throat.

A cold, spine-chilling shiver ran straight down my back.

Then, a glowing, blue floating screen materialized out of thin air right in front of my face.

[Welcome back to your original world, Danny Williams.]

[In this world, you are Danny Rodriguez, Omega to the Alpha General of the North.]

[You were misplaced in the stars during souls selection and mistakenly sent to Earth. Error corrected!]

[Your memories of this world will now be fully downloaded to you.]

I stared at the floating text in absolute disbelief.

The screen flickered, displaying a holographic profile of my own face and beside it, the profile of the "original" Danny Rodriguez. Funny thing, we were exactly alike..Same features, but different worlds.

In an instant, everything clicked in my head.

The novel! The apocalypse Omegaverse novel I had read just last week! I only picked it up because the villain shared my exact name and the fan art looked eerily like me.

My mind spiraled into chaos as the narrative plot slammed into my brain. This exact scene... this was right where I had stopped reading. Danny was about to sell his children off to Alpha Derek Davidson for money and food.

Alpha Derek.

Now that the book's details were flooding back, and that of Danny Rodriguez my blood ran cold.

Derek wasn't just some rich, power-hungry Alpha looking to adopt. He was a sick, disgraced scientist running black-market laboratories in the Dead Zone.

He was obsessed with a twisted theory that young, developing children possessed rare, unmutated stem cells in their immune systems, cells he believed could permanently stop the deadly soil virus wiping out humanity.

To prove his theory, Derek bought children from desperate, destitute scavengers and put them through grotesque, fatal blood extractions.

And the original Danny was about to hand his own twins over to that monster's butcher table.

I recalled how Danny Rodriguez had verbally and physically abused these twins, starved them in dark rooms, and even poisoned his own Alpha husband. Danny Rodriguez in this world was a pure, unadulterated villain.

A hysterical laugh burst from my lips. I threw my hands up and started clapping.

"Alright! Nice try... ha! Nice try!" I wheezed, shaking my head at the floating screen. "So I’m inside a novel, which is apparently my original world, right? And you had the absolute audacity to do what?! Put me in the body of the villain?!"

[Correction: Danny Williams was supposed to be the one on Earth,] the system screen chimed cheerfully. [Unfortunately, he caused utter havoc here while you were gone. As the rightful soul, you must repair the damage.]

[WARNING: If you do not change your fate, love your children, and reconcile with your Alpha, you will suffer an untimely, painful death.]

"Ohhh, you don't say?!" I laughed loudly, still in complete denial of the absurdity.

[Our Compensation Package:] the system screen floated another window into view. [As a skilled botanist, you will be granted our Eden System. You will have the power to heal contaminated soil, revive extinct plants, and save your family. Necessary assistance will be provided when earned. Thank you for your cooperation!]

"Wait, hold on! Don't you dare vanish....!" I screamed.

POOF.

The screen vanished into thin air.

"Shit!" I cursed under my breath just as the spell broke. Time unfroze with a sudden snap.

The fruit fly zoomed past my ear, and the armed thug’s voice boomed right back into the room.

"....SIGN!"

I forced a tight, polite smile onto my face, my mind working at a million miles an hour. Urgh... wow. Okay. Think, Danny, think.

How the hell was I supposed to get out of this alive with a gun pointed at my face and two traumatized kids behind me?

I rubbed my hair, letting out a heavy, exasperated sigh as I looked at the thug.

"Can you, like... give me a second, big guy?" I gestured toward the hallway with a casual flick of my wrist. "Like, step outside the door for just one moment? I need to beat my kids one last time before I hand them over."
