Cassian's Pov

The election was slowly coming to an end. This was my last interview and I was topping Rowan with 2%.

Lord Kyle had pulled me aside before I could even say a word to Elara. It was urgent.

A messenger from the eastern border brought some news. The officer stood at attention, his face pale under the fluorescent lights.

"Alpha, today at the eastern border. Three patrols didn't report in this morning."

My jaw tightened. The warriors kept missing. "How many wolves?"
