Ophelia groaned and walked out of the private jet area, throwing her uniform jacket over her shoulders. It was three a.m., they had arrived an hour earlier, but she couldn't go since they needed to park the aircraft and fill out all of the necessary paperwork. She was exhausted beyond words, and she was certain she'd pass out the moment her head hit the pillow. Her eyes widened as she realized she hadn't reserved a hotel room. What was she going to do? She sighed in annoyance as she continued to walk.
"Captain
Ophelia?" When she heard Dallas call her name, she turned around. "Let's go, the car is waiting for us," he said, sprinting after her. She frowned and inquired, "Car?"
"Yes, our hotel room is booked, and the car has arrived to pick us up. Let’s hurry, I’m sure you must be tired.”
She nodded and followed him to where the car was waiting. After they had settled in, the car began to cruise through Berlin's empty streets. She had only been here a few times, but she had never had the opportunity to explore the city.
"Have you ever visited here before?" He inquired, and she gave glanced at him. "A couple of times." He nodded as she responded. He looked out the window on her side and pointed to a shuttered restaurant.
"Did you ever try their Currywurst? It's incredible." He said it with zeal. She shook her head as she looked to where he was pointing. "No. I never got the opportunity to explore this city." She responded,
"That's unfortunate," he said, pausing briefly before suggesting, bashfully,
"Would you like to explore Berlin? If you'd like, I can give you a tour tomorrow."
"That is a generous offer, but I'm exhausted. I think I’m going to sleep in. And I have to return soon."
"You will be leaving? But we are on call." He said, frowning, "You're on call. I was solely dispatched to bring your boss here. After that, I'm off duty." She stated this as she leaned back in her seat. Her encounter with
Onyx went across her thoughts, and she felt humiliated all over again. She is a woman, and he is a very wealthy man. Everyone must believe she threw herself at him on purpose. She had been bothered by the stares she had received from the other passengers on board. Then she became enraged remembering how he had his arms around her, and how could she forget about his excited member! Were all the men the same? How could he get aroused just like that! The jet was going through turbulence for goodness sake! Dallas gazed at her as she groaned aloud."Is everything okay?" He inquired, "Yes," she curtly responded, and he nodded.
They were soon entering the foyer of a large hotel, everything was prepared, and they were on their way to their rooms after checking in.
"Mr.
Reighs always makes hotel reservations for us." With a smile, he informed her, and she merely nodded. Dallas and she both came to a halt in front of her room door. She unlocked the door and pushed it open."Good night,
Ophelia." He said good night with a nervous smile and she raised her brows slightly when he took her first name for the first time. She turned back and smiled as she bid him good night. She entered, shut the door, and turned on the lights, her eyes slightly widened by the enormity of the room. It was enormous, more akin to an apartment than a hotel room. She had stayed in several luxurious hotels before, but this one was nothing compared to the others.
Her wary eyes were drawn to the room key in her palm, and she returned to check the room number. When she realized she wasn't in the incorrect room, she grimaced. Perhaps Mr.
Reighs was wealthy enough to provide such opulent accommodations for his employees. She shook her head. Whatever the case may be, she has a roof over her head and most likely a very comfortable bed. She had freshened herself and removed her uniform in a jiffy. She opened her bag after folding them neatly on the couch, only to find a single black tee-shirt. When she couldn't find any trousers or shorts, she groaned. She removed her bra and changed into a t-shirt that barely touched her buttocks. She climbed into bed, and as soon as her head touched the pillow, she was lulled into a deep sleep.
Waking up is a shift from the realm of dreams to the reality of the day, and it is best to take your time with it. For it is only then that we may examine the meanings of our dreams, weave them into the realities of our existence, and feel ready to face the day. Captain
Ophelia Jade, on the other hand, was not ready to face the day as she was still quite sleepy, and sleep kept lulling her into unconsciousness. But it was the knocking on the door that woke her up. She grumbled and rolled out of bed, extending her naked legs towards the bedroom door, soon realizing she was technically half naked. She dashed to the closet, slipped into a robe, and opened the door. A woman in a hotel uniform greeted her "I apologize for waking you up, Ma'am." She apologized and
Ophelia shook her head telling her it was okay. She stepped back from the door and gave her space to walk in. The woman then entered with a tray of meals.
"I don't remember calling for breakfast?"
Ophelia inquires in a raspy morning voice, and the woman looks at her perplexedly."Ma'am, I was told to bring the food. Have a wonderful day." She informed with a thick accent and exited, closing the door behind her.
Ophelia was left standing, staring at the tray of food, so she lifted the top and discovered a very traditional breakfast inside. Her gaze was drawn to the clock, which read two p.m. She was perplexed as to why they provided breakfast rather than lunch, but the food is food in whatever form or shape. She sighed and decided to take a shower. The warm water wiped away her sleep and tardiness as it cascaded down her body. She stepped out of the shower, dried herself with a clean white towel from the bunch that was in her reach. She changed into another white robe that the hotel provided. It was warm and fluffy, also very much comfortable. She made a mental note to go shopping as she spread the butter on her toasty bread. For her trip back to Hawaii, a pair of slacks and a shirt would suffice. The crunch of the bread filled the air as she bit into it. As she sipped her hot coffee, the door to her bedroom swung open as a man stormed in, clutching his phone against his ear and yelling angrily. His voice got caught in his throat, and his eyes widened in surprise when he spotted
Ophelia sitting on the couch. She almost choked on her coffee when she realized who it was! Onyx Reighs! His gaze moved gradually over her physique. From the fresh glow on her cheeks to her damp long hair carelessly draped over her naked shoulder. The robe had slipped over her upper arm, exposing her shoulders and the valley of her breasts.
His gaze lowered as her naked thighs crossed over each other to tease him. His gaze was drawn to her long, smooth legs. Her eyes followed his gaze, and the tip of her ear began to redden as she discovered him blatantly
gawking at her. She hurriedly tucked her legs under the robe and drew up the collar covering her shoulders. His eyes fluttered and he focused his gaze on her face. Her cheeks and ears were now red, and he couldn't tell if it was from rage or flushing. But he knew she was red of anger when her eyes narrowed and she yelled irritably "What exactly are you doing here? Don't you even have the decency to knock before barging in!" Her remarks caused his brows to furrow "I could say the same thing! Don't you have no manners that you sneak into someone else's room!" He leaned against the door frame hanging up the phone.
"Someone else's room? This room was assigned to me!"
"Oh, what a surprise! But I seem to have the keys to this room!" Her eyes widened in astonishment as he smirked and showed her the key in his other hand. She rose to her feet and took out the key in an instant. She turned around and showed the room's key as well. "I seem to have the same key!" His smirk faded as she said bluntly, raising an eyebrow. "It seems that they gave us the same room!" She said while folding her arms across her chest.
"It appears to be so." He replied
"So, mind getting out?" She raised her brow
, a crimson hue on her cheek growing rapidly. "Why should I?"
He asked back as the tip of tongue grazed his lower lip."You burst in like a creep, checking out a woman in her robe, and now you're wondering why you should leave!" She exclaimed.
"They gave us each the same room key. And I happen to be the one who books and pays for these rooms. As a result, I feel you should be the one to leave. Unless, of course, you want to share this room with me, I would love to have with me by the way." Smirking, he said, and a storm of annoyance washed over her. But she composed herself and replied,"I'll be leaving tonight anyway. You can have your room all to yourself."
"Very well then," he sighed, frowning. He entered the room and dropped his suitcase on the floor. He removed his tie and suit jacket and stripped down his white shirt. All the while she stood next to the bed her eyes carefully inspecting his every move. As the shirt slipped off his broad shoulders, her eyes unknowingly gazed over his toned muscular back. When he noticed her gaze on him, he smirked, and she averted her eyes.
He turned around and walked closer to her. As she felt his footsteps nearing, Judith looked up and her breathing grew laboured. Her eyes once again gawked at him and he stopped just in front of her.
“Like what you see Captain?” He asked and she looked up straight into his eyes.
“Even though I have seen better, but yes, I am very much liking what is in front of me.” She boldly said and the robe once again slipped off of her shoulder. A smirk coated her lips as she saw how his eyes immediately fell on her naked shoulders and the corner of his eyes darkened. Judith slowly pulled up the robe over her shoulder and his eyes met hers.
“I’m not one to hide my feelings, Mr Reighs. I find you unfathomably attractive and I very well know the way you look at me. But I don’t fuck my clients.” She said as she took a step closer to his warmth and he stiffened."See you later,
Sir." She whispered and walked away from his warmth towards the living area. He plopped down on the bed and groaned in annoyance.
When she could hear the water running and she changed into her uniform pant and the t-shirt she had been wearing the night before. She gathered her belongings and dried her hair. The bathroom doors opened as she was putting her hair up in a bun, and Onyx strolled out wearing nothing but a towel. His hair was drenched. Water ran down his hair and cascaded down his toned muscular physique, disappearing beneath his white towel. His body resembled that of a Greek God, and anyone looking at him would wonder why he was a businessman when he should have been a model. Looking at him in nothing but a towel would make any female drool over him and pounce at him like a hound in heat, and she'd be lying if she said she didn't feel the same urge. Her eyes once again boldly checked out his being and she stood up straight and with a very professional attitude she said. "Working with you has been a pleasure, Mr. Reighs.” He was struck speechless with her boldness and the professionalism as she got her bag and walked out.As he heard the door close, a smirk formed on his lovely lips. He walked around the table in front of the couch and sat on the soft couch. He scooped up the bread she'd taken a bite of and looked at it with sultry eyes.
"I look forward to flying with you again!
And hopefully it would be full of pleasures." He grinned as he took a bite of the bread and finished the coffee while drying his hair with another towel and went about his day.
"Vielen danke mein Schatz."She smiled as she accepted the glass of lemonade from the little girl behind the counter, who grinned as she accepted the money.(Thank you so much, sweetie.)"Sie sind willkommen. Besuchen Sie uns wieder!" She beamed as the girl's mother smiled from behind her, andOphelia waved as she exited the small juice corner.(You are welcome. Visit again!)Summer had arrived in the city. The road was bordered with lush green foliage that had frozen in the August heat.Ophelia lingered in their shadows before allowing the sun's rays to warm her bare shoulders. She enjoyed the heat, but the shade in between provided her with the needed respite. She wanted to skip down the mild slope like she did as a child, but instead, she walked. It wasn't a tourist attraction, and there weren't many people walking on the blacktop roadway. She always felt connected to one place when she explored the back alleys where ordinary people reside. She could observe how they lived and how th
"Good morning, Mr. Reighs." She welcomed him on board with a smile, and he responded with a smug, taunting smirk."What a pleasant surprise, Captain! I was hoping Sage would have returned by now!" Ophelia wanted to punch him in the face, but she kept her cool and responded with another false courteous smile, "I guess he's not well enough to fly yet.""Very well, even though he isn't here, I know I'm in good hands." His voice was rich as he gave her a curt nod and with a wink he ascended the stairs into the aircraft, accompanied by his bodyguards and secretary. She followed them in and settled in the flight deck as they settled into their seats. Dallas looked at her with trepidation as she sat down and buckled her seatbelt. With one look, he knew she could kill someone at that moment, so he remained silent."Crew, please prepare for takeoff." She said curtly, and they were soon in the air, flying to Belgium. The wing engine is semi-illuminated from the plane's window, with the lower ha
"Yes, Mr. Arnoult. If all goes according to plan, we should get the results soon." As he sat behind his laptop, conducting his virtual conference early in the morning, Onyx's rich voice boomed in the empty balcony. "Okay, then, I'll see you again when you return. Mr. Reighs, have a nice day." Onyx sighed as he sipped his coffee and shut off his laptop. His gaze is drawn to the lovely garden that surrounds the hotel."Boss!" When he turned back to his secretary's voice and saw her rushing up to him and he frowned in confusion."What happened Lilian?" He inquired, and she came to a halt in front of him."I just got word from the hospital that Sir Keegan is doing great and has asked to return to Walferdange." Her words instantly brought a smile to his face as he stood up and started walking inside. "Call for the driver, I'm going home!" Were his words as he ran to his room, while Lilian beamed and began to call for the driver and complete everything.Soon after, Onyx strolled out of his
"Come on, I'll drop you off at the hotel." With a warm smile, he softly suggested."Who are you? What did you do to the Arrogant Reighs?" She asked with a surprised voice and Onyx chuckled."He is still there somewhere buried I guess." He said going around the car and opening the door for her. "If you would please madam." He said with a smile and a bow of his head. She scoffed with a smile and strolled up to the open car door, and she slipped inside. Onyx gently closed the door and walked around to take the wheel. They began gliding down the road in silence. Onyx drove with one hand on the steering wheel, looking straight ahead and occasionally glancing at the female sitting beside him. Ophelia closed her eyes and sighed as she massaged her forehead with her delicate fingertips. She caught Onyx's gaze as she passed by."How did a pilot end up in the jungle instead of the sky?" He asked, glancing away from her and ahead."Hahaha!" She huffed and rolled her eyes. "We went trekking and e
"I am glad he did." He said this with his brown eyes locked on her slate blues. Her breath caught in her throat as his eyes twinkled with something she couldn't quite put her finger on. The look in his eyes could make anyone vulnerable in their dilemma; she almost felt as if his eyes were stripping her of all the emotions she didn't even know she had. She averted her gaze and looked straight ahead as the weight of his gaze was too much for her to endure. She was mortified when she saw a roe deer leap in front of the car to cross the road."Look out!" She screamed out, and Onyx's gaze was fixed ahead. His grip on the steering wheel tightened as his feet pressed the brake with all their might, but the car didn't seem to have any intention of stopping. He turned the steering wheel, hoping not to crash with the deer, but to his dismay, the car was now heading straight for the giant sequoia tree. His eyes widened in surprise as he realized they were about to crash. As the desire to protect
They walked and walked, talking about anything and everything they could find as they walked along the unpaved road. The way they chatted and laughed anyone could mistake them for long-lost friends, but they were extremely cautious not to slip past anything about them that they kept hidden inside the deepest pit of their souls. Their souls were entangled with their own past and memories that they kept out of reach and away from their selves and anyone, making sure that no one discovered the monsters of their past. They had come to a halt when the blaring sound of a truck filled the silent road. Onyx had lifted his hand in an attempt to stop the truck, to which the driver had stopped, and was kind enough to give them a lift.Onyx and Ophelia had climbed aboard and were on their way to their destinations. Ophelia slowly dozed off on Onyx's shoulder as he made small talk with the driver throughout the way. The slight vibration of the truck lulled her deep into sleep as Onyx's voice becam
As Onyx was stirred awake from his slumber, he felt warm, utterly warm. He slowly opened his eyes and was taken aback to find Ophelia snuggled in his arms even after sleeping under two different duvets. Her head was pressed against his chest, and one of her arms draped across his torso, her fingers were tightly gripping his shirt. She was peacefully sleeping in his arms, as the warmth and comfort she radiated were almost unbearable to him, causing his breath to hitch. Holding her in this manner felt horribly wrong, but somewhere deep down inside it felt just right! It was still dark outside, and he was sound asleep, so he wondered what had woken him up. When someone knocked on his door, he knew the reason why he was woken up. He carefully tried to untangle himself from Ophelia, but it looked like she was unwilling to let go of warmth as she clung herself to him. After a few tries, he finally untangled himself from her grasp and she voiced her disappointment with a loud groan. He chuc
She strolled out, phone in hand, and sought a quiet balcony."What do you want Owen?" In a bitterly cold tone, she inquired."Ophelia! You answered the phone!" On the other end of the telephone, an astonished and relieved voice came through."I am very busy; state your reason for calling and be off.""I'd like to see you, Ophelia. Let's talk things out. I'm not going to be able to go on without you." He pleaded with her fervently, but his words fell on deaf ears. The only thing on her mind was her father and his health."You think you can just barge in and hash things out after dumping me over text while my father was fighting for his life in a hospital room?" In an aggressive tone, she scoffed."I had no idea Mr. Jade had a stroke! I had no idea what a total mess you were in!""Look, Owen, I'm sorry, but I don't have time for this-""Ophelia, please! My excuses, no matter what I say, will not justify my actions. I was wrong, and I acted wrong. Please, though, give me another chance.
