Sheila's POV

Six months. It's been over six months since I've been away from André, from Madeline and Harley. Marco had helped me find an apartment in a small remote town, here in Georgia. He has also been visiting me here from time to time.

The folks around here were quite nice, quiet and seemed not to be bothered about anything going on in the outside world. Unlike big cities where people usually go around with their phones and internet, these folks were pretty much content without those things. Marco was right, they're my kind of people.

I work as an assistant in a local library, owned by a nice, old lady. Miss Geraldine is what she's called and she's quite accommodating towards me, despite the fact that the other folks look at me like an outsider. The pay was really nothing much but it was just enough to get me by. The most important thing was that I was away from him now and he ... Well, he is now safe.
