Amber’s POV

Alpha Dale was very clear about what the mission for today was going to entail and what my role was. I was just thankful he agreed to let me come with them this time. I glanced at Janine by my side and winced.

I don’t know how she managed to convince Beta Trent to let her go to the battlefield again, or even Alpha Dale, but she was one strong woman.

This time, I wasn’t going to let anything happen to her.

Once again, I was to stay with Izzy and Fabian, while Alpha Dale, Beta Trent and Silas pushed forward to deal with as much of Derrick’s army as possible. My job was to take out as many of the hounds as possible.

And Alpha Dale was very clear about what I was to do with Derrick if he was actually there.

Absolutely nothing.
