Amber’s POV

Alpha Dale’s mother looked a lot like you would imagine a woman who was once the Luna of the werewolf community would like.

I had seen her before, thanks to the framed photo of her in Alpha Dale’s room back at the mansion. In the photo, Alpha Dale had been standing in between his father and his mother and they had been smiling so widely.

There was none of that smile on the face of the woman in front of me.

Alpha Dale had intervened as soon as his mother came on to me. I had no idea where he came out of but I was guessing he had sensed my distress and like an angel, came to my rescue.

He had taken me out of there without sparing her a single glance or giving me any time to say any greeting to her. But I was a little relieved but also felt a little bad that we were treating his family this way.

First, his uncle was in a dungeon underground and his mother was… well, what was she exactly?

  • Bride Of The Lycan King   The Luna

Amber’s POV The trial was in two hours! And that wasn’t even half of the gist. Apparently, the Council weren’t the only ones who will be sitting in on the trial. The Luna Dowager was going to be there as well. I was not only shellshocked at finding out a person like that existed, I was also ashamed of the fact that I had no idea Alpha Dale’s mother was still alive. All I could do was stand there and blink at Janine who broke the news to me. I could tell that she was trying not to laugh at the mini crisis I was having. “You didn’t think he didn’t have a mother, did you?” I shrugged, giving her a sheepish look. “Ah… no one ever mentioned her and the story was that Alpha Dale became Alpha following the death of the previous Lycan King, his father. I guess I just assumed she was dead as well.” I groaned as I realized how that sounded and apologized, although I had no idea what exactly I was apologizing for. I had a million things to apologize for right now and Janine wasn’t even wh

  • Bride Of The Lycan King   Hounds and Experiments

Dale’s POV The meeting with the experts was less frustrating than sitting in a room with Council members, but it was still an exercise on restraints. All of them wanted to be heard but had nothing to say. They knew nothing and were simply eager to waste my time and resources which I had poured into getting them to be here in the first fucking place. “It is not that we don’t believe you, Lycan King, but it’s just that all of this is very hard to take in. Hounds? This isn’t a fairytale or a fantasy movie –” “I’m going to stop you right there before you say something that gets you killed before you even know it,” Kevin said, cutting in. The man who had been talking, I think his name was Milos Stone stared over at him before flicking his eyes in my direction, finally sensing that he might have worded things on the disrespectful side. I was sure I looked nothing but bored, but he still gulped when his eyes landed on me. “I don’t think it is that difficult for us to get you a specim

  • Bride Of The Lycan King   The Prisoner

Amber’s POV Noah and Janine were doing better than I imagined. Their wolves were stronger and according to Janine, far more experienced than mine. It didn’t take long for all their injuries to heal but that amount of energy spent to heal their bodies meant they needed to eat a truck load of food. And they did just that. Beta Trent provided them, especially Janine, with every kind of food there was. I didn’t fail to notice that he was extra attentive to Janine more than anyone else. Well, she was his mate after all and he almost lost her. I couldn’t even bear to think what he was going through now, what he went through before. But there was something I knew for sure, something had changed between us and I knew it was due to the fact that I had helped him save Janine’s life. “I want to go and see the prisoner,” I said suddenly. “I can’t shake the feeling that she’s important somehow and the fact that Silas kind of okayed her given how thorough he is with following the details make

  • Bride Of The Lycan King   Mending

Amber’s POV I woke up in the morning with more than just the happy feeling of the afterglow of good sex. Every muscle in my body was tight, and there was an ache in my thighs from clenching so hard over and over again. I might need to start stretching out after sex if it was going to be like this always. I smiled as quiet snores and Alpha Dale’s deep breathing reached my ears. I was happy I could witness one of the few times I actually woke up and still met him in bed. Trying not to wake him up, I wriggled carefully to the end of the bed and got out, then tiptoed to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Being pregnant meant I now had a small bladder, so I made sure to empty that as well. I knew what today was but we had a problem. Our key witness was gravely injured and I wasn’t sure he could testify. Janine wasn’t in a good shape as well. I needed to see and talk to Beta Trent so he’d fill me in on our next line of action. I threw on a pair of old leggings and one of Alpha Dal

  • Bride Of The Lycan King   Victorious

Amber’s POV I didn’t remember much of our trip back to Free City, only Athena slumbering happily inside of me. I knew that we were hell of a lot safer having dealt with so many of Derrick’s army. The only bad thing was that we were unable to recover the men. The main reason they had gone out in the first place. Everyone felt defeated. We arrived home few hours before dawn, and I felt a bone-weary exhaustion that came with spending all of that energy. I needed a long soak in the bath and at least three days of sleep. But the trial was only in a few hours. That three days of sleep was going to have to wait. My stomach rumbled with hunger, but I wasn’t sure I could stomach any food. Not after all the blood and gore I witnessed and contributed to today. I could tell that Alpha Dale was angry with himself for not being able to save a lot of his men and recover the ones he went out for. I squeezed his hand, using our mind connection to remind him that they were still alive. When we
